Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Experience The condition of this property is so old and run down that it does not meet any expectation on any level for a Holiday Inn. The carpet in the room was dirty and the a/c in the room did not work. The breakfast offering in the morning was unmonitored and poor quality. The rates for the room are very over-priced for what you get. The only positive thing I can say is the staff was very friendly but that isn't enough to ever have me return. Very disappointed! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fabulous staff Wow :-) The hotel is located near a busy highway and a mall. We arrived tired and exhausted on New Years Day after a very bad night with hardly any sleep in a group hotel at Heathrow, UK and a transatlantic flight. I had redeemed points and requested a quiet room. As we approached the reception we were greeted with a smile and a very warm welcome by (I think) Jose. Thank you, you made our day. :-) My Platinum status was acknowledged and we were given goody bags with drinks and snacks. I could also select further snacks from a basket. We were definitely made to feel valued and welcome. The room was enormous and immaculate. We were not disturbed by any noise and the bed was very comfortable. The only little downside was a gap between the blackout curtains and the balcony door which allowed plenty of light in. There was a light on the balcony which was on all night and we did not find a switch to turn it off. When I mentioned it during checkout the female staff member was very apologetic. She suggested that this could be looked into. We were given more drinks to take with us. I would not hesitate at all to stay at this property again. The customer service received here puts the standard (even though usually good) customer service in UK hotels to shame. January 24, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home Away from Home Whenever we visit my sister in Monterey Park, we stay at the Holiday Inn Express Rosemead, because it is convenient, clean, and has a friendly and efficient staff. The hotel is located near a large mall, gas stations, the freeway, and restaurants. When we first arrived, we were greeted with a goodie bag and introduced to the new desk clerk. Every night there is a table full of coffee, iced lemon water, fruit, and homemade cookies! When we went to our room, the heater was on so we would not freeze upon entering and there was a message on the phone welcoming us back. Every morning, there is a fabulous breakfast of hot and cold foods and drinks. One day I mentioned that I had not received Priority Club points after my last stay and the next day the office people were on the phone inquiring about it. They even e-mailed me about the problem and gave me a number to call. Everything is settled and I was awarded the points for 2 years. Great service! January 20, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by The staff is amazing! I have to say that, just like many of the other reviews I read on this property, the staff is amazing. They were all extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. I was even given an upgrade to a larger room, which hardly ever happens even though I'm a platinum PC member. The neighborhood is decent, feels safe, and the parking lot is extremely well lit. There is also a large shopping mall just around the corner [maybe 90 seconds away, literally], which is always helpful when you just want to grab food quickly in the evening. The only things negative I can say is that the property is in need of some refreshing and updating. [But every hotel has to go through this on a 5-10 year basis and the other 2 hotels in the very near vicinity also need some TLC.] Also, the main breakfast area is very small with only 4 small tables so it was a bit crowded during my visit as the hotel was running at high occupancy. I would definitely recommend this property because the value is great [HI Expresses always are with the breakfast and wifi] and the staff makes the staff extremelly comfortable. December 4, 2012
