There are a decent number of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a shopping centre. The breakfast buffet is better than average for a Holiday Inn Express. August 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Result of Internet lodging purchase Apparently when you get a room via the Internet at a discount, you are charged immediately. When making on line reservations you should call to ensure that you have a room that contains a fridge and microwave if you are needing them. I was told that only the rooms on the 4th to 6th floor had them but I was put on the 3rd floor due to an event going on in the penthouse. They did provide a microwave but did not have a fridge. However, as I was using the computer in the business center I overheard the front desk person calling someone to provide a fridge to a guest on the 4th floor even though I was told by the cleaning staff they had none to provide. Do not assume anything about your room and call to confirm what you require. Also ask about construction in the area that might impede movement in/out of the hotel property. August 23, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, clean, and comfortable! I stayed here for two nights on business and was delighted with the customer service, cleanliness, and comfort of the hotel. The value is about average, but it is the Chicago area after all. The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and everything about the room was clean! I would definitely consider staying here again. I do wish the rooms had mini-fridges though - if you're staying for more than one night it's impossible to keep any leftovers or food on hand.
