Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Returning client.. Enjoyed the first time and so it was easy to return again. Poolside room which was good, but couldn't get the GOV/Corp (Retired Military) rate due to being full .. but that is ok.. worth the extra money for the stay. Great breakfast and the hot tub in the room was excellent. The only small small issue was the rooms above the pool side rooms were noisey. Lots of jumping etc.. But I didn't complain..and it only happened a few times and NOT at bed time. Great fitness center and pool. Will be staying there again when returning. December 11, 2013

We had to do everything last minute as a result of a family member passing and they assisted with directions, personal items forgotten and a wonderful breakfast that provided a great start to our day. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice hotel We were very happy with our stay! Our bed was very comfortable & clean. The pillows were great. I really liked the shower, it was a walk in shower, not a tub. However we weren't over the moon thrilled with the jacuzzi, we felt like there could have been more jets. The decor throughout the location was very nice. The breakfast was great!! Big variety. I would have appreciated a Coke machine along with the Pepsi machine, but that's no big deal. I wish we would have booked a second night but we will be back!! . November 27, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed I made to sure to have my poolside room reserved well in advance so my sons birthday would be a memorable one. Imagine my disappointment when I arrived to the hotel and the desk associate told me that my room was on the third floor. I guess that when you make a reservationn at this hotel it really doesnt mean anything. We had a picnic planned and an entire day of events that had to be changed because they did not have a poolside room for us. I dont think this will be my hotel of choice in the future. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room and good experience The staff was very friendly. The room was really nice and updated. My fiancé and I stayed in the king whirlpool suite. The whirlpool was large and comfortable. The room was very clean. My only complaints are that there was no fan by the whirlpool or in the bathroom and it got warm very quickly. Also, the bed wasn't the most comfortable but it was a good room for the price and breakfast the next day was a great bonus. November 13, 2013

We came in early for a wedding and the staff had our room ready early for our convenience. Check-in time is 3 pm and our wedding started at 3 pm, so housekeeping made our room ready 2 hours early for us. October 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly, efficient service. Greeted at check in by friendly staff who gave us their card to call them at any time if there was anything we needed. The room was very comfortable and clean. Nice size dining / family area with TV, cozy fireplace, and room for families to play board games with their children. Good variety of foods on continental breakfast. The pool area was inviting but there were so many chemicals in the pool that we couldn't stay in the pool area very long. Overall it was a nice place to stay, family orientated, and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely stay there again. October 22, 2013

The only negative was that, as a rewards member, I asked for a late check out. Apparently, there is no way to input this into the system because this is the second time that after requesting a late checkout, I had management and/or housekeeping knocking on my door several times. I requested a late checkout so I could nap, but that unfortunately did not happen EITHER time. October 20, 2013

The down stair restroom was so clean ,The room had enough space for four women and all there stuff , the room meet all of our needs, The bathroom shower head felt so so good after a long day out, The bathroom did need a exhaust fan, but by far this has been the best holiday inn express that I have stayed in and my girlfriends all the love the whole hotel experience we would all come back anytime Thanks for making our girl weekend very enjoyable September 26, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable, but some strange effects outside Driving in to the inn, one is greeted by a long planter full of tall, dead weeds. Going into the inn, one finds several planters full of dead plants. Once inside, everything seemed okay. The room, although designated non-smoking (as I believe the whole inn is), had definitely been smoked in sometime in the past. It did not reek, but there was a leftover odor on entering the room. Otherwise, the room was very comfortable and clean. The housekeeping staff did a nice job of cleaning between nights of our stay. August 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, Safe & Comfortable in a great location. This is the second time I stayed at this property. I stayed on the top floor on my last visit. Everything was great. However, this time I stayed on the second floor. I could hear every footstep of the quest above me on the third floor. It was a bit annoying as they were up past midnight. I also heard the TV from the room next to mine. Unfortunately, I have to rate my ability to relax lower than my previous visit. I will choose this property again, but I will most certainly request the top floor. August 25, 2013

Of course we looked up the nearest Holiday Inn Express and were not disappointed with this. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn Sagainaw Short trip but the hotel stay made the difference!!! I had a nice pool side room and it was great. The Jetta hot tub in the room was great.. I enjoy the gym a lot and the pool was good .. While I was there the heater for SPA was out so no hot tub in the pool area.. but the room one made up for it.. The Staff were all excellent and yes.. I will ensure i stay there in the future for trips as needed!! August 24, 2013

To my amazement room was ready was able to get settled and head over to be with family without delay. After I figured out thermostat in room I was able to get it comfortable and staff was great the rest of the stay, I was always greeted upon arriving and leaving. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Checked into a room that smelled like an ashtray. I am a platinum member so upon checking in I asked if an upgrade was available and was told there was not. I do understand that they are not always available and I was fine with that but when I checked into my room it smelled like stale cigarettes. I phoned the front desk and told them, just to make sure I would not be charged and they said that they would take note of that. I also requested a roll away bed as I had brought my daughter on this business trip with me, upon the staff bringing the roll away into the room she said " Wow, it really does smell like smoke in here." At that time she did offer to switch rooms but by that time we were unpacked and did not want to hassle with moving. Upon leaving for dinner the staff was checking in another visitor and they were thanking him for being a Platinum member and that they were giving him a free upgrade because of this, he may have booked earlier than me but after the experience with the room this made things even worse. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great overnight stay My wife and I stayed at this hotel recently while in town to attend a funeral ,my Platinum Elite status was immediately recognized and we were upgraded to a King suite upon check in, to a very comfortable room.Breakfast the next day was more than adequate,and while checking out, we secretly wished for time for another day in your lovely hotel, But if circumstances allow in the future a return to Saginaw,this will be the place that we stay,while in town.
