Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very convenient hotel Stayed one night. Really comfortable, clean, and ideally situated opposite the submarine base, with a shopping centre and restaurants across the square. Great bonus for us was the very friendly and helpful receptionist whose first language was English! September 16, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Simply Perfect Excellent attentive and professional staff (especially Jackie, thank you), perfect Breakfast quality and range. Rooms are standard HIE rooms so you know what your going to get but are very clean and generally quiet. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants, shops including a supermarket, attractions and of course the beach is a mere 5 minute walk. Parking is available free out front the hotel or near by although there is a secure carpark below the hotel we didn't need to use it. Overall a fantastic hotel and actually above the standard express's in the UK. Thank you for all your help during our stay it was really much appreciated and you help make it very enjoyable. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and convenient location Convenient location in this interesting city, right by the park and ride (free bus to the centre) and opposite the historical (though rather ugly!) Atlantic Wall. Staff spoke English and were extremely helpful and friendly, bed comfy and room spacious. Only two drawbacks for us - not enough storage for clothes as we were staying nearly 2 weeks; and the hot drinks at breakfast were undrinkable. We hated the coffee, and although this is subjective, there can be no argument about the tea, which was Lipton's (very weak) and only lukewarm water was available. There was tea making equipment in our room but the milk provided was evaporated milk, again not suitable for tea. But you don't go to France for the tea, after all, so it was a very good stay. I stay in IHG properties 65 to 70 nights per annum, and few if any of these other hotels are as well run as this one. It is the staff that are key. Yes breakfast is very good, the rooms are squeaky clean, and parking easy. But it is the attention to detail exhibited by all staff members, regardless of role, that really makes this property stand-out from the others I've visited. Jackie, and Eve (I think!) are worthy of particular mention. August 17, 2014

The rooms are clean and confortable and the breakfast has many choises. I will stay there again in the future and I would recommend the hotel to everyone who visits St Nazaire. July 10, 2014
