Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Reward night let down. Downgraded room in empty Hotel. I have stayed at this hotel before and that stay was good. This current stay was a reward night. When the reservation was made on the internet I requested an upgrade if available. The hotel seemed to be not even 1/3 occupied. I reserved a King room and was given a Queen room with a little extra floor space. The person at check in was embarrassed when she reviewed the prepared check in documents and saw that I had been assigned a Queen room, but did not offer to change it. The room and bed was next to 3rd floor lobby and the bed was next to the lobby wall. The 3rd floor lobby is tiled so the few time we would be drifting to sleep there would be the luggage cart making a thump-thump noise on the tile, cowboy boots going thump. We did not get a restful sleep. The lady at the check out desk did not ask how the stay was so I did not tell her. The next time I am at Salado I will stay in down the road and not in this hotel. I feel my rewards points were wasted on this stay. The hotel was clean and would have been a good stay if they had not downgraded my room. February 23, 2015

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Front Desk Afternoon/Evening Staff Very Friendly Afternoon/Evening Front Desk Staff. We had a bathroom issue and it was corrected in 5 minutes by the staff. We wish there was an alternate 'bed cover' option as not all people want the heavy (hot) comforter. A normal blanket stored in the closet would be great. At the least have one available at the front desk. February 3, 2015
