We were there for an extended stay for work and every single person that works there in some way or another went out of their way for us. EXCELLENT service June 10, 2013

Yes, the bed was comfortable, and yes, the room was clean; indeed it almost "sparkled" it was so clean! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn Express ever If there is any reason for you to travel to the Rolla/Salem/St. James area, this is the hotel to stay at. Melody the manager was so sweet and helpful. Hotel is clean, nice looking, great smelling, and up to date. Pool is big for an indoor style and is clean and well maintained. The room was huge! Beds were comfy. Love, Love, Love this hotel. Breakfast was fresh and had a large variety of chices. I have stayed at over 15 different Holiday Inn Express Hotels throughout the US, and this one was definitely #1 May 29, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by alcohol at the pool area the accomodations are GREAT!. i do have a problem with guests being allowed to have a BEER party with rap music very LOUD! being at the Salem MO Holiday Inn was very very disappointing. i took my grandchildren there for the indoor pool but could not in good concious let them swim with the beer drinking in public-a case of beer sitting on the table (no disceretion at all)! The manager said it was allowed as long as it was not in glass bottles! REALLY? As paying guests i feel the beer party could have been held in their room instead of in public where the children are. by the way, they had 3-5 underage children with them at their "party"- i dont think this is the clientel i would cater to but apparently Holiday Inn has decided to downgrade from a 'family' hotel to a " less desirable" hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Totally Awesome Visit I stay at Holiday Inn Express in Salem two or three times each month for business reasons. I have done this for several years. It is always one of the most inviting stays that I have anywhere. The number one attraction is BREAKFAST. It is the best one anywhere I have been including other HIE hotels as well. It is a full breakfast with all the items one could wish for. Their friendliness is outstanding. From the check in girl, to the breakfast cook, to all the attendants---all are professional at what they do. Any problems a guest has will be addressed immediately. HIE Salem goes above and beyond to make your stay outstanding. What else can I say---they deserve top rewards. March 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room but Cold Pool We mentioned to the staff that the pool was too cold. They admitted that other guests have complained about the pool being cold. They said it is 82 degrees and that the desert air in the room makes the pool feel cold. My husband is a Heating and Air Conditioning specialist. The pool temperature was set at 60 degrees and the desert air was set at 78 degrees. We could not swim in the pool as it was way too cold. The hot tub was HOT though. There is no microwave in the room but a microwave available downstairs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was good and nice to wake up to. March 13, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn Express This Holiday Inn Express in Salem, MO is the best I've stayed in. The front desk staff is knowledgeable and rapid with check-in and check-out. They are friendly and most accomodating. The rooms are top-notch as far as cleanliness and design! I know this hotel has been around since 2004, and it still looks and smells new. The beds are comfortable and overall room atmosphere is great. TVs are all flat-screened and have a great picture. The weight room and pool area are very well-kept. The outside of the hotel has ample parking and is pleasantly landscaped. The breakfast bar is fantastic! Food is hot, and there is always plenty to eat. The breakfast staff is friendly and willing to do anything to make your breakfast experience great. There is no reason to go away hungry! My husband and I have stayed many times, and we always look forward to our stay. It is a hotel that you can count on always meeting your expectations. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone! You can't beat it! I have stayed in Holiday Inn Expresses all over the U.S. and abroad. This one is the best! February 10, 2013
