Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not your typical Holiday Inn Express This hotel is the worst Holiday in Express I have ever stayed at. The beds are uncomfortable the Wi-Fi is painfully slow when it works, and the rooms have not been updated in some time. I stay at Holiday Inn Express around the country about every other week. There are many other choice in San Antonio. My recommendation would be to choose a different Holiday Inn Express. This Hotel is not really that close to the busy area of the River Walk .(Restaurants & Bars) May 20, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great room and comfort My overall stay was great. The room was clean and fresh smelling. I rather enjoyed the history of the building, but that is just me. The location of the hotel is very convenant to the River walk and the Market Square. The only downside of the stay, was the atmosphere changes at night. It is a whole new crowd. May 20, 2015

Room was very cool when we entered which was nice for a warm May day, room was clean, room was comfortable. Bed was very comfy and the pillows were of the best quality I've ever used in ANY hotel! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Normal Budget Hotel Check-in was quick, efficient, with very few words. I needed help from the front desk on the first night of our stay because the room keys quit working. Reprogramming did not help so the manager escorted us to our room and came back with new room keys. This is the way the process should work when tech fails. The breakfast area was well stocked and the coffee strong and plentiful. The one major deficiency here, is without question, the parking situation. The parking to the side of the hotel reminds me of cars trying to park on the streets of Paris. It's NOT for those unskilled driving in reverse. Hotel parking across the street is very tight and cramped. It's made worse with oversized trucks.. Best bet: park your car in the day time and leave it there. Management really needs to find some way to fix this situation. May 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly staff and comfortable We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and helpful service of the breakfast staff person. He offered to fix snacks for me because I am a diabetic. An apple, a banana, and a muffin and a bottle of water. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The staff at the front desk helped us to load our luggage when departing for the airport. We enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Express. May 19, 2015
