Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great customer service and a comfortable property This property, despite some in-progress renovations, was very comfortable and inviting. The front desk staff was very welcoming, courteous, and helpful from the moment I entered the doors of the hotel. They were able to provide directions to local business very quickly and easily, and appeared to be concerned with meeting all of my needs as a guest in the hotel. There was some noise in the hallways during the evening, but it is summer and families are vacationing in the San Antonio area, so this was to be expected. The room was a little warm when I first entered, but a quick adjustment of the thermostat almost immediately began to make a difference. Overall, this was a very comfortable room. Any shortcomings that may have been existent in any amenities or conveniences in the room, were more than made up for by the friendliness and helpfulness of the front desk staff. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable hotel that is close to downtown San Antonio, but still provides easy access to local business and restaurants. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A comfortable and convenient place to stay. The free shuttle service is fantastic! The rooms are nice, and the bed was comfortable. They are still remodeling, so there were construction areas. The breakfast room was very crowded. Maybe seating could be moved to the lower level? I was thrilled to find Gluten Free muffins! Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall great value This hotel is not fancy, but eveything is new and up to date. The common areas and guest rooms are very clean. The staff is kind and helpful and they seem to love their jobs. Our room was much roomier than I was expectiing, more like a suite. The sleeper sofa was very helpful. Also, I love that there is a microwave and refrigerator. This was a short stay, but in the future when we stay longer, a fridge would be great. If we return to SA, we will definitely use this hotel. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by My Experience at Holiday Inn Express The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Please improve the breakfast food. The meats and eggs tasted too processed. Add some wholegrain choices. Also, add baskets to the shelf under the sink for guests to store items such as hair curlers and straighteners, makeup, etc. Another hotel I stayed at had these, and I loved them. August 2, 2014
