Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service We stayed here for my son's graduation at Lackland AFB at the end of January. The service from checking in to checking out was excellent. We left every day at 6:30a.m. was able to eat a hot breakfast before we left and returned to fresh linen and clean room at the end of the day. The lady who made breakfast was very pleasant (sorry I cannot remember your name, should've written this earlier). I was able to check in and print my boarding pass in the business center. I recommend this hotel because it it proximity to the AFB and other activities in the area. Thanks for making my first trip to San Antonio a memorably one. February 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by I do not know what happened? We have stayed twice before our 2013 after Christmas stay and they were excellent. I just do not know what happened. First of all the room smelled horrible more so in the restroom. The shower setting could not be moved the lever to regulate hot from cold would come off the wall and the drain was clogged. The people above us had children constantly running and we could hear all the loud thumps at late hours as we tried to sleep. We told the front desk but I guess it went on to deaf ears because it did not get better. We complained yet once more and their was someone else and the thumping and jumping stop almost instantly which was already 12 midnight. The following morning I let the front desk know that if the noise would continue when we arrived back to our room that evening we would be requesting another room. The Front desk lady said that there was another room available on the top floor and we could change rooms if we wanted to so we did. The room was dirtier than the first and was way smaller and the bathroom smelled like extremely bad body order. I went to Walmart and bought carpet freshener , Clorox II and fabreeze. I know they were over booked. But really?! I find that is no excuse on two nasty rooms. Never has this ever happened to us at any of the Holiday Inns in all our life time. Maybe bad management . I do know but our experience was bad for the first time never before and we love to stay at this hotel brand everywhere we visit. We are devotees . Come on get together! February 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A Great Place to Stay We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express San Antonio-West while attending the Air Force Basic Training Graduation. The location was perfect - equal distance between the airport and the Lackland Air Force Base. We had a 2-queen bed suite which was very spacious and clean. The staff was very helpful and extremely accommodating to us. I would definately stay there again. February 12, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I thought I was a dummy For the 1st time in my life I drove to the wrong hotel, and boy am I glad I did...Christina, at the front desk, was kind enough to call the hotel my wife and I were supposed to be at and had our reservation transferred to her and she even honored the rate from the prior hotel. It was just a quick 1 night stay but my wife and I both though that the rooms were as nice as some of the pricier hotels on the River Walk. It was a great location and we will definitely be back. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff and good location First appearance of facility was good, secure and well lit. From the time we arrived until the time we left we were treated exceptional by everyone we spoke to, right down to the maintenance workers. Location was good and easy to navigate to and from downtown to the Air Force Base. Room was of average size for two queen beds. I wouldn't say it was dirty but nothing a deep cleaning couldn't fix. Food also average hotel food but always hot and fresh. Only had one issue with the security latch on the door. It was reported to staff and it was taken care of by the time we arrived back that evening. Again, I was most impressed with the staff, EVERYONE had a smile, hello, good morning/ good evening and acknowledged/congratulated our new AIrman. I would stay again if/when I come back to San Antonio. Only negative thing would be bathroom area. I would like to see the all rooms have a separate sink/vanity area as apposed to being in with toilet/shower area. January 10, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not a good place to stay Two cars got broken into. The parking lot doesn't have enough lighting. I was woken up nightly by the running toilet. Multiply times when the room was cleaned not all of the towels were replaced with clean ones. Overall just a very disappointing stay. December 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Thanksgiving stay I must say that this hotel and staff are one of a kind. We stayed at this hotel for the Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday thru Friday and enjoyed the stay very much. On Thursday morning, when we got to our vehicle, we found out that the battery had died and needed a jump. I proceeded to ask the Manager on Duty if he knew if Hotel had a booster pac to jump start the van, but they did not. He then kindly enough offered to help us out (family of 6) with a jump start from his personal vehicle. Now that's what I call top notch service. Going the extra mile for their guests. This definitely made our stay an even more memorable one. I do not recall manager's name, he made sure that we were on the road to celebrate with our family. (I do recall him saying that he does not usually work the morning shift.) December 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best. Staff. Ever! This is the best staffed Hotel I have ever been to. We were in town visiting Fiesta Texas and all the other Tourist attractions. Very early on our first day one of my children fell ill at Fiesta Texas. The young lady at the front desk (Stephanie?) got us in way ahead of check-in time in order to help us out. The rest of the staff bent over backwards to be Hospitable and courteous. I have never seen a Hotel staff that seemed to enjoy their job as much as this staff did. That probably says a lot about management. Thanks for a job very well done!! November 9, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by It was ok I went to San Antonio for fun to go to Sea World and the location of the hotel was ok, maybe 10 min away from sea world. The room was ok. Clean, not too small, front desk people really nice, friendly. My only complain was the breakfast and the breakfast area. That carpet needs to be replaced. Is dirty and old. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Like coming home We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Sea World in San Antonio three different times over the past 5 years. Each time it was because we had a son graduating from Air Force basic training, and each time we have had several rooms for extended family. The staff and facilities always make us feel like we are in a home...not a hotel. The big "family room" is fabulous for gathering after a long day. We played games, watched football, and just hung out. Every member of the staff - from front desk to cleaning staff - treated us like family. They are friendly and helpful, consistently going above and beyond. THANK YOU for a wonderful experience! October 17, 2013

My whole stay was wonderful. The room was clean and neat. The location was great and I had a blast at Sea World which was close to the hotel.
