The staff was friendly and did honor my request for a room on the first floor. They were helpful when we needed extra towels and toiletries, and allowed us to stay later for check out. Great hotel!

Room was comfortable if a little dated. Service was great. We had a little trouble with the wi-fi connection.

This property seems new. It is not, but it feels like it. The front desk employees, especially Versha (sp?) made us feel welcome and helped us with directions and shopping.
Rooms are larger than what I would consider normal at Holiday Inn Express. They are fairly quiet except we could hear the creaking of floors when those above us walked and when we walked on certain areas of the floor in our room. Bathroom was large enough, hairdryer worked well, water was hot, lighting was good. There is no "make-up" mirror.
Room had small fridge, a microwave, flat-screen tv, coffee pot, nice desk with a comfortable business swivel chair, and an easy chair.
Bed was comfortable and sheets were fine.
The complimentary breakfast offering was sufficient and filling. One day there were omelets. There is an automatic pancake maker which was quite efficient! The coffee was excellent with many creamer choices, like at the premium coffee shops. Tables were clean.
The parking lot in the back is very well lit and we felt safe parking after dark. There are a few trees providing shade. The front of the property is quite inviting with the live oaks by the portico.
The setting is a commercial one, but quiet. My only dislike is not specific to this property, but of the roadways in the San Antonio area. With the one way access road system parallel to the freeway, if you miss your turn into the driveway, you have to go quite a ways out of your way to try again! But very good directions on the website from the airport. Bravo.
