Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Small room and Inadequate Service Rooms are nicely furnished, but so small it's difficult for more than one person to be in there at one time. And it'd better be for sleeping cause there is no room for little else. Bathroom uncomfortably small to the point you couldn't shut the door for privacy without twisting around. Couldn't take a shower without fear of steping into more than you wished if the toilet lid wasn't closed. Coffee in the morning was luke warm at best. Tepid is the word that comes to mind. People at front desk and on grounds were super nice, but facility leaves a lot to be desired for a business traveler. Not comfortable at all. At this point in time, I will be forced to look elsewhere for accomodations on my next trip to San Diego. March 18, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very nice staff As Priority Club members, we are always happy to stay at a Holiday Inn Express. The staff when checking in was very friendly and welcoming after a long night and day of traveling. However, the staff in the breakfast area never missed a hello or good morning to everyone that came in. All the foods were well stocked . A particular member of the staff was more than gracious about sharing her personal comments and suggestions regarding the San Diego Zoo visit we had planned for the day. She took her time and chatted with us for about 5 minutes. We did have one issue, but it was not the fault of the hotel, just a rude group of people staying on our floor. A 5:30am wake up call for several rooms resulting in opening and slamming doors. I'm sure we weren't the only family/guests affected by this. March 14, 2013

If you are looking for a good place to eat ask Robert at the front desk he is very helpful. Good breakfast Great breakfast staff very nice. You can't go wrong here. March 14, 2013

We had a great time at Seaworld and was mad that much better by the excellent staff at this property right on Mission Blvd. The park is only five minutes away. We had some difficulty with the internet, but the helpful dek clerk resolved it personally. Again, thank you Holiday Inn for your superior commitment to customer service and comfort. March 1, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel, Great Price. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express near Seaword in early December. When I checked in after driving 6 hours in Friday night traffic from LA, the staff was most accomodating and friendly. While the rooms are on the small side the hotel is impeccably clean. The furnishings are all new and the beds are super comfortable. The courtyard parking is a bit tight for big cars but there is another parking lot on the right of the hotel. I never had problems with parking as others have mentioned. The hotel is in a very good, safe neighborhood. It takes 5 minutes to get to Sea World. The walls are a little thin as I believe this didn't use to be a Holiday Inn originally, I think it was a Comfort. Overall you can see a lot of work into making the hotel the best it can be. I loved the employees, the location. I actually like the courtyard type feel to the hotel you can look down from your room to where your car is parked.There is only a very small pool and no jacuzzi which might be a factor for some families. For a great price at a safe clean hotel chose this Holiday Inn Express. December 9, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by internet accessibility When we arrived the internet did not work. I asked the desk clerk about it and she said they had been working on it but it 'should be okay by the morning.' I had an international Skype call the next morning, but the internet was still not working. Fortunately I had a backup system with my iPhone so could make the call. Another desk clerk then informed me that the internet had been down and they did not really expect it to be back that day or next. In fact we did not get on for the two days we were there. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Limited food for breakfast Loud construction work. Rooms kinda clean. The breakfast was poor. Not much food. No signature cinnamon rolls.several of the juice dispenser spigots did not work. This was for 3 straight days. Very poor for a Holiday Inn Express. The Internet was slow to non existent. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by musty After a long day and not arriving into the room until after 1 am, we received a room that was musty and when investigating found the carpet wet around the a/c unit. This has been probably leaking for awhile and left a damp, musty smell in the room. Just to tired to complain as we had to leave early in the morning, nevertheless, the room was stinky. The bed also needed some springs or support. October 6, 2012
