Pretty much your typical budget friendly hotel but it' nice to see that many Holiday Inn Express locations, including this one, are being upgraded. Just two things to note: ask for a room with a window that actually looks outside and they DO NOT have a fitness center.

The desk staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. The amenities offered such as the free shuttle service and variety of breakfast items offered were an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Housekeeping staff offered help with wheeling luggage down hall.

We just stayed at the Holiday Inn to celebrate my daughters 21st birthday, and I was overall very happy with my accommodations. The hotel itself is in need of some updates but I believe they are working on that now. The service however was absolutely wonderful. Ray at the front desk went out of his way to make everything perfect for our stay, and all those at the restaurants and housekeeping were also great. I really appreciate the hassle free stay we were able to have. Thank you so much!! I will refer to my friends and will stay again next time I am visiting San Diego.

el personal de recepción, de servicio, del restaurante del shuttle, en general todos son amables, amigables y serviciales, lo pasamos muy bien y muy cómodos, lo único que no nos gusto fue la variedad de alimentos que se sirven en el desayuno

Enjoyed our stay. The hotel was under construction everywhere. It did not interfere with our stay, but the rooms were limited. I had requested a balcony room, king room and paid one month in advance. When we checked in the girl did not even look at our request and stuck us in a little room that I wouldn't give $50 for. Went back to the desk and asked for another room with our request (we were checking in at 3:30) she got us a balcony with two queens, and said that she would get us into a balcony king room the next day. That girls saw us every day, but attempted to make good on her offer.
Most of the staff was very nice. The shuttle was one of the main reasons we stayed here because we didn't have a car. Breakfast and happy hour were definitely a plus. Easy walking distance to many things.

Enter the hotel from the parking area and you will find refreshing lemonade and ice water (both complimentary). Very nice touch, indeed!! Head over to the check in area and you will be quickly and expertly accommodated! The hotel staff could not be more sensitive to the needs of guests! Alex was a very special shuttle driver and went out of his way to explain the trolley/transit system and quickly figured out the sights that I needed to see!! He is the BEST AMBASSADOR for this hotel that I met, but EVERYONE was wonderful, kind, helpful and friendly. Some areas of the hotel are simply well used and are about to be upgraded/renovated. However, the staff work so hard to keep the heavy traffic areas clean. Breakfast had fresh salsa one morning -perfect with eggs, and the buffet was always fully stocked. I really appreciated that meal as San Diego can be a bit pricey! The pool was sparkling clean and lovely. The hotel room was nice and quiet (even with a soccer team there!) and the balcony area was the perfect place to dine on delivery pizza & salad and to read a good book at the end of my long days. I even discovered a little shop downstairs with used books for a couple of dollars. Couldn't have asked for a nicer stay!! Hotels like this one make me a PROUD IHG Platinum Elite member!

I was always treated comfortably and felt very welcomed. When I asked for additional shampoo they had it a the front desk, and were gracious to give me what i needed.
