As I Platinum level Priority Club member, I have stayed a numerous Holiday Inn properties. This is the only one at which we had a less than a good to excellent experience. When I checked in the lady at the front desk did not acknowledge my Priority Club membership. Then, even after a staff member checked the reception on out television, it did not work properly. When we were ready to retire for the night, we discovered that the heating/ac unit did not work. We adjusted the thermostat and nothing happened. So we just went to bed.
I think that this one night hopefully is not representative of a normal stay at this property. I hope these remarks will be helpful.

I could enjoy my stay with a kind and cheerful front staff. The only thing I would suggest is that a phone call to guest room should be made a certain time after checkking-in, because guests can look around ther guest rooms meanwhile.

Great hotel, great staff, great choice. Stayed here for a quick overnight stay before flying out from SFO. The shuttle services were on time and quick. I would stay here when ever I have early morning flights from SFO.

I flew from Singapore and due to airport operations had some travel challenges. I was exhausted. The reservations staff, Tess at the front desk etc went out of their way to accommodate my early arrival. The room was clean, quiet enough with a busy McDonalds next door. The wifi worked well and I used the business center to print out a boarding pass. I slept, woke up and was able to grab a few items to eat, meeting the 6:08 shuttle. The place was perfect for an exhausting overnight where I ended up in SFO and my luggage is still flying United.

We used this hotel as a place to stay the night before a flight out of SFO. We took advantage of the 14 days free parking. Arriving leasurely the night before we were able to get a good nights sleep, and use the free shuttle to the airport the next morning.
We will use this facility the next time we have an early morning flight out of SFO.

I received my wake-up call promptly at 3:00 am as requested. The van was on time at 4:00 am.
Even though breakfast was not yet being served, the desk clerk made a fresh pot of coffee for those of us who had early departures.
Will definitely stay there again.

I needed a quiet place to rest after arriving to SFO on a transatlantic journey so this was a good choice. Did not use the shuttle service as I had a rental car and the hotel is just 5min further down the road from the SFO rental car garage. Parking at the hotel is not free but reasonably priced.
Found the HIE SFO North to be one of the best rated options in Tripadvisor and I was not disappointed. Rooms are of good size, clean and even have microwave oven. Most important for me and my jetlag, the night was quiet.
There´s a fitness room and Spa downstair. Breakfast is okay, good variety and nice staff but average quality.
Location: The hotel is located in an industrial area with nothing around but a McDonald´s. Direct access to HW101, so with a car you´re well connected to San Francisco and all surrounding areas.

Arrived at SFO evening of Sunday Oct 28th. Attempted to call hotel three times enroute and received no answer. On fourth call reception answered. I had a question about shuttle service. Was told shuttle runs every 30 minutes. It took 1 and 1/2 hour to get from airport shuttle station to hotel.. Arrived at hotel approximately 10 pm. Individual who was working reception that evening had no interest in check in. In fact we waited at desk almost 5 minutes before she even appeared. No welcome priority club member, no welcome period. Her only interest was on the after game news. I had to ask a question three times to find out where the elevator was as she flatly stated I hear you. Reception very rude and not what I have ever experienced from a Holiday Inn Express. One final question was did they offer water or any snack to priority members and the answer again was a flat no we don't . I will say the room was comfortable.

Close to airport. Great free shuttle service to and from the airport.Comfortable bed, clean room and great service. Adequate hot/warm breakfast. No convenience store nearby though if you forgot to bring something you need. Will highly recommend this place to anyone.

Close to airport. Great free shuttle service to and from the airport.Comfortable bed, clean room and great service. Parked our car for 12 days in garage, still intact when we came back. Adequate hot/warm breakfast. No convenience store nearby though if you forgot to bring something you need. Will highly recommend this place to anyone.

Air-conditioner was a bit noisy. The bottle of water at $3.00 is really not necessary. The faucet water tested to be quite good, compared to the bottle water. Daily parking rate was a surprise. Would have to consider that for a longer stay. No break for Priority Club members?

We requested a crib two months in advance but it was not available when we checked in. Desk clerk said that they ran out of cribs so baby had to sleep in our bed. Disappointing and not acceptable level of service.

Facility was very nice rooms were large and comfortable.
Pros and cons about this particular location was the proximity to the airport. It was convenient to be so near the airport, but because of the location dining options were limited. Overall it was a very nice stay. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Always enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Express. This hotel has excellent customer service. Fran ( I hope this is her name) checked us in and was very customer service oriented. She even got me real cream for my coffee.
Normally we are recognized, sometimes with snacks and water, for being a Priority Club Member. The snacks and water are an added touch but this time there was not even a verbal recognition, which would have been nice.
We will still continue to stay at HI Express as we always get a good value for our money.

My husband and I were in San Francisco during fleet week and had a difficult time finding a "reasonably priced" hotel near the wharf. Called your hotel, and you offered us a great price with recommendations on travel to the wharf area from your hotel and airport. Your shuttle service was great. Your staff was wonderful and very helpful.

Ideales Hotel für den Kurzurlaub oder die Geschäftsreise.
Flughafenhotel. Mit den Shuttle Bus sind sie schnell am Flughafen und in weiteren 25 Minuten mit dem BART Zug in der Innenstadt. Sie wohnen nah am Flughafen. Shuttle Bus Abfahrtszeiten stehen fest. Ideal wenn ihr Abflug früh morgens ist. So müssen sie keine langen Anfahrtswege mehr in Kauf nehmen und reduzieren so die Gefahr von verpassten Flügen.

We very pleased with the overall stay. we did however have a t-shirt missing after the cleaning staff came in the next morning while we were out, think maybe it got picked up with the sheets as we had numerous pieces of clothing on the bed. We did know the cleaning staff would be in.

compared with the San Diego Holiday Inn, this one is the best. Near to the airport but not noisy at all. The breakfast is included so that is good. McDonald is next door if you need a snack. The travel bureau did not mention a fee for parking so that was not a nice surprise. Bring a shower cap ladies, the hotel does not provide it. Easy excess to the Interstate or Highways. The best choice if you want to explore the area around San Francisco. We'd love to come back. For European travellers: it's not easy to make tea, there is no water cooker espc. for tea.

The hotel experiences problems between the hotel’s reservation system and the brand’s online booking. My reservation was verified, but was not honored upon check-in. Sindy at the front desk stated this is a frequent problem with this hotel. Sindy stated the only assistance she could provide was to create a new reservation and charge me for both the original and new reservation. She did provide me with an 800-number to call.
Upon shift change shift, Tess, the evening desk staff, assisted by calling Priority Club’s Guest Relations on my behalf. Over an hour was spent on the phone resolving the problem. Additional problems occurred upon checkout including being over charged for the rooms.
Thanks to Tess, Priority Club’s Guest Relations and the Operational Manager for finding workable resolutions. However it took several phone calls, escalating the issue with the Brand and a considerable amount of time to resolve the problems. The indifference and the lack customer service on the hotel’s part are disconcerting. A great deal of time and aggravation has been involved in this stay and a reservation through on-line booking at this hotel does not guarantee you will have a room.

We love the staff, especially Jackie at breakfast and Fran at the front desk. The only place we stay when we come to town. The rooms are clean, the people always friendly. We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so.
