Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New TV and service provider Some time ago the hotel installed new TV sets. The one in my room takes one minute to boot up. Recently the hotel switched to a new TV service provider. The volume of the various channels is significantly different. When I switch from one channel to another it can happen that the new channel comes up at much higher volume, which might disturb a neighbor. It would be appreciated if all channel could play at the same volume. Thank you. March 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TV problems The TV in my room needs nearly a minute to warm up and display a picture. As a very frequent guest I noticed that the TV reception is often compromised resulting in frozen or scrambled displays. Since the recent switch to a different service provider the volume of some channels (e.g. 8, 11, and many others) is significantly louder than of others. This results in sudden high volume when you are switching channels and could distrub room neighbors. February 14, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by All of the construction is done I was nervous booking based on earlier reviews of construction but it is all finished up. The rooms and staff were excellent. Very nice property close to everything too. February 2, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay - Work & Play All construction from previous reviews seems to be complete. The lobby and all other areas look great. Stayed at this hotel while in Salt Lake City for work. Room was clean, warm and comfortable with almost no noise. Continental breakfast always had many choices and was a great day starter. Lots of great restaurants can be found near the hotel. Lots of great ski hills within a 30-60 min drive so was perfect for a day of snowboarding after I was done work that week. January 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Services and location I enjoyed my stay in this hotel, very good services, nice facilities, I would get back to the hotel any time. January 21, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great access for skiers and Salt Lake City This property is easy to find, just off highway 15 and conveniently located for getting to Utah skiing. The staff were exceptional. Amenities were up to the usual Holiday Inn Express standards. Only disappointment was that the exercise room renovation was not yet complete. January 7, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by We like this place - have stayed many times we were Not notified at time of reservation that the entire building was under renovation- the desk area, the lounge, the breakfast area ,the pool and the work out room - all under construction December 15, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Hotel Stay Very Dirty Gross Room Very Noisey They Didn't care We Have always had Good luck at other Holiday Inns. The first thing you seen when you came in was a mess when you check in and construction mess all over . They said they just remodeled and our floor was done but the carpet was falling off the walls the carpet was so filthy. Our room was not that clean. The Fridge didn't work Tv wasn't working Push a button and 10 min later it would go nuts and roll threw channels. The Hide away bed was filled with cigarettes . Tripped in the bathroom the tile was uneven.Breakfast was hard dry toast or Dry hard Ciniamon Roll. No juice no pancakes no bacon or sasage nothing . They had a Girls Basket Ball Team staying there and put them above us so we listen to that all night and didn't get any sleep. The were running down the halls and banging on doors . Again they wouldn't do anything. No room change no refund no nothing. Would not stay here or recommend this place at all the owner doesn't even care. Nobody Cares here. You don't matter and this proves it. December 15, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by do not stay worst place to stay.Had construction going on couldn't sleep. looking for a pop and the desk clerk told to go to Mcdonalds or to a store.Didn't let any one know about this until she had your money. They did not care about anything. just selling a room. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wait awhile When I made the reservations I was not informed that this hotel was under major renovations. We could hardly get to the front desk because of a partion which made walking single file and there were three workers to get around. The pool area was shut down and one of the days we were there the elevator was closed (we were on the third floor). The continental breakfast was practically non-existant. We were not offered a discount or apology. The location is great, but don't stay here until the renovations are complete. December 10, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by We always stay here ! We always stay at this Holiday Inn Express when traveling to Salt Lake City. Everyone at the front desk is always pleasent to deal with. We have always gotten the accomidations that we have requested, depending on if it is just the 2 of us (1 bed) or if we bring our grandson with us (2 beds). Room is always clean and comfortable. This kind of service is what brings us back to Holiday Inn Express !!! December 6, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Under Construction Beware. The property is under construction therefore full of drywall dust. Loud with hammering and general construction noise. Contractors hanging by the entrance smoking. Rooms were very small. December 4, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Work in progress but still good The lobby and breakfast areas weren't under construction during my visit, which was good. The food was the normal variety: biscuits and gravy = good, fruit = green. Once you get past any torn up areas and step into your room, you're golden. I slept well, which is normally hard to do when travelling and staying in a bed that isn't your own. The workout room was out of comission and even the pool was affected at times, so exercise had to be done at the indoor mall across the street. Oh darn. ;) Overall, I said 4 out of 5 stars. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Total Disaster!! I am a regular customer of Holiday Inn. I am a Platinum member and stay 35-40 nights per year at various inns across the country. On my way to my room there were open doors to, what appeared to be, rooms under construction. The room smelled musty and was freezing cold. The toilet drained so slowly it nearly overflowed. I made my self a cup of tea and crawled into bed and set the tea bag on a tissue beside the bed. The next morning the night stand was crawling with hundreds of ants. They were everywhere, on the floor, on the walls...every where. When I dropped my key at the front desk, I mentioned the ordeal to the desk clerk who responded with a grunt....NEVER again will I stay at this location. It is a good thing this was not my first experience with IHG hotels or I would never be back. November 18, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by under construction staff was very personable. second floor was under remodel & workers were present during my stay. no problems & even the workers were aware of the inconvenience they were causing & were hopitable themselves. November 14, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely room with lots of space My daughter reserved a block of rooms for her wedding. The staff put us all in the same area so we could easily keep in contact with each other. The queen and king suites included an extra sitting room space with a second flat screen TV, comfy overstuffed chair and desk. The beds were very comfortable. The attendant in the dining area was exceptionally attuned to the needs of those coming in for breakfast. The only downside was the amount of street noise that could be heard. October 19, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good location Just outside Salt Lake City but close to everything...and I mean EVERYTHING! Perfect location, professional and friendly staff, clean location and rooms. The double tv's in the room are a nice touch. Easy to relax here. Highly Recommended. October 19, 2012
