Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Middle of the Road This hotel is pretty standard when it comes to other HIE's. The mattress was comfy and the deal was good. I wish the bathroom was a bit more inviting and the elevator was kept a little more clean, but aside from that the hotel fit our needs just fine! July 28, 2015

Sandy, UT, had a power outage at 11 p.m. Power did not turn on until nearly 11 a.m. (check out time of course). We were in town for a family reunion and 70th anniversary party for my grandparents. There was no hot coffee, no hot shower, no breakfast (except for cold cereal), no lights to try to make ourselves presentable, no iron to unwrinkle our clothes from traveling. Hotel made absolutely no effort to correct any of these inconveniences. They could have called in coffee and pastries for breakfast, could have offered a coupon or a discount for staying, something....anything to make an effort. Nothing was done except to say that it was not their fault the power went out (but it was not our fault either). We asked for the general manager's business card and were given the sales director's card instead who only does group sales (absolutely nothing to do with our problem). They advised us to call the power company and get a refund from them (ya...okay). In the binder their "Hospitality Promise" states "Making your stay a complete success is our goal. Just let our Manager on Duty or Front Desk Staff know if any part of your stay is not satisfactory. We promise to make it right or you won't pay for that part of your stay." So we ended up going to a family reunion/anniversary party without showers, grumpy, and hungry. We had reservations to stay another night but decided to start the drive back home after the party due to the hospitality that was shown to us. Thank you for a miserable stay. July 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendliest Place in SLC Robert was the check in clerk when we got to the Sandy, South SLC, location. He was more than helpful throughout the entire check-in process. Robert is a valuable employee and should be recognized as such. This is the only place we could find that would accept pets and do so with open arms. We were not put in a "run down" room because of our animals but had beautiful accommodations to relax in and enjoy. July 1, 2015
