This hotel is located in a very convenient location with many stores and restaurants nearby. It is just a short drive from the San Jose airport. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast, provided each morning had enough variety to please most people. One of the most surprising amenities was the quality of the HDTV which is connected to DirecTV which offering a large number of channels including multiple HBO channels. It was a very pleasant and convenient home to us during our visit.

You could consider having the following for a 5 star experience
1) The Alarm clock is too bright, lesser brightness is good to get better sleep
2) Washing machine and drier would be a great amenity for folks who need to stay longer.
3) For breakfast, I liked cinnamon roll. There are no other hot vegetarian options. Instead of all 4 non-vegetarian options, you could consider having one vegetrain and 3 non-vegetarian..say some potatoes..
4) Little things such as toothpicks or ear swabs would have made this awesome

I'm in the area for business every few months, and I don't even think about where to book anymore. This place has a convenient location to the airport and where I need to be, it's clean, and I'm able to sleep. I do recommend you try to get an interior room if possible, but once traffic dies down the noise isn't too bad.
I wasn't able to get my preferred top floor room this time, so I did have to listen to some footsteps above me. Most people aren't as sensitive to that as I am, but even so, I slept well.

After a full day of meetings I made it to the Holiday Inn Express just before midnight. The staff efficiently checked me in, handed me the key and I promptly plopped down on the bed and fell asleep for a few hours. I had to get up pretty early the next morning to make it some early appointments so I didn't take advantage of all the amenities but the hotel provided everything that I needed.

I made my reservation months ago. I got there on time as I was really looking forward to my time away from my routine. My room was not ready, there was no room for me and I spent about 30 minutes just trying to get this all fixed. I was told there was another room that would be available but the customer service rep. was not sure.
Ultimately I told her that I made the reservations months in advance I even told her I had been asked previously about my preferences (none of which were met and or addressed by the hotel and the staff)
I asked the rep. to contact a manager and get this resolved as I had no real time to just hang around and waste my time any longer.
Ultimately I ended up in a lower level room with a lot of time wasted and that is it. very poor quality in their service. The hotel does look good and clean.

I am impressed with the staff at the front desk, they actually talk TO me instead of AT me, and I appreciate their upbeat attitude. Also, this trip I left behind some clothing items. They contacted me to offer to hold, ship or donate the items. I have never been offered this before at any hotel, so was very grateful. I will be staying there again when I travel to that area!!
