Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A good hotel for the value The hotel is conveniently located in Silicon valley. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. There was no safe box in the room. Breakfast is free and the choices are nice (there is even steamed rice). There are no lunch/dinner served, but there are many restaurants nearby. Wireless Internet access is provided, but it is not stable. Sometimes the speed is OK, sometimes it is really slow. March 25, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice hotel at a reasonable price I am traveling to Santa Clara for business frequently. This was my 2nd stay at this hotel, and I was very happy both times. Price is lower than other hotels' in the area (and it includes breakfast+parking+WiFi), staff is friendly and helpful, rooms & hotel are clean and quiet.... There is no fancy lobby or bar on site, but if you don't want pay an extra $100+/day for such amenities, you won't find a better hotel in the area. I'll stay there again. March 24, 2013

They followed up with me on a possible third night stay that was not required, but the staff being proactive was very good to see. The room was very clean. The breakfast was satisfactory (what I am used to at an HI express). Overall, I try to stay at your holiday inn due to the staff which continues to provide excellent support. March 22, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by OK place to stay--bring slippers. I typically stay in HIX's when I travel, maybe quarterly or so. Compared to other HIX's, I felt this one was not nearly as well-kept as most of them I've frequented. Carpets were sticky--I know you can't shampoo them all the time, but still....they were pretty sticky. I just wore shoes all the time, and tried not to think about it. Still, I've never seen this. And, I'll never understand why a Thursday is so much more expensive than a Fri/Sat, almost double, but whatever, not my business. Staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful. Parking was always adequate. I'd stay there again--breakfast was great too. Just bring slippers. --T March 20, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Confortable, well located and great staff. I was there for work and the location was one of the key factors I decided to book there. I was pleasantly surprised when upon my arrival I was received with freshly baked cookis as recognition for being a Priority Club Member. The room was big and confortable and very clean. I was there for 3 weeks so trust me when I say that place was confortable, quiet and the staff was very friendly and willing to help if I needed anything: laundry services, receiving packages for me, etc. I would definitely reccomend this place and if I have to go back to Santa Clara I would book here again. I have used this particular hotel on numerous occasions and will continue to come back whenever I'm in the area. The staff are always friendly and courteous and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I am always greeted as a priority club member and provided with much needed water and snacks. The breakfast area is clean and well kept. The complimentary breakfast is always very good. Thank you. Love the breakfast! You can easily skip your lunch. Ample parking, cleanliness, friendly staff and overall feel like home. Room has microwave and refrigerator, which is great for long-term stay, as we stayed more than 3 weeks. Highly recommend and definitely will stay in future. January 11, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Design makes handicap access a chore This property is located in a very good location in Santa Clara with a variety of shops and restaurants nearby, but it is not close or easily accessible to major freeways. Also, if a guest requires a handicapped room, there are certain challenges. I requested a handicapped room well in advance of our stay, but the only room(s) available were on the upper floors, and accessing the rooms was a challenge because of the property design. The elevators are not near the entrances nor are they near the handicapped rooms. To access the assigned handicapped room we hand to traverse almost the entire length of the first floor to access the elevator, and then we had to walk all the way back to the other side of the hotel to reach the assigned handicapped room. One elevator (in the front of this property) requires the guests to exit the building and be out in the elements and the elevator in the back is not large, nor easily accessible from the parking areas and the guests must walk from one end of the building to the other just to reach the elevator and then, if assigned a handicapped room such as the one we were assigned, we were required to walk all the way back across the building to access the handicapped room on the second level. The hotel should consider using more first floor rooms for handicapped access since it is quite difficult for most handicapped guests to have to walk or be moved across the width of the building twice to reach the room, or go outside and then walk from one corner of the building to the other side (two hallway lenghts to reach these rooms). With luggage and other equipment required for handicapped guests, this is a true inconvenience. January 3, 2013

The rooms are clean modern. -Great location near downtown -Rooms were very nice, modern, CLEAN -Free Parking However, the biggest reason is their customer service. They actually read the reviews you submit via email. Not only the fact they read them, they respond and work to their best effort to satisfy the hotel guest. I will surely stay here again. More companies should take customers service just as serious. January 2, 2013

This hotel provided easy access to either side of the Bay and was close to the San Jose airport where landed. So the location for us turned out to be perfect. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. My wife and I both found the complimentary breakfasts to be very good. We were most impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the desk staff. [Especially Elsa and Heather] They always did whatever they could to help us out, whether it be with directions or an assist using the business center computer. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Receptionist The only inconveniece I found was that at the time of checkin in (1:30 am) the receptionist was not available to open the front door for me. I had to wait on the cold, outside the hotel until the lady showed up, about 20 minutes later. I guess if I had been during normal hours that would have not been the case. October 17, 2012
