Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude Staff & terrible stay I was on my honeymoon and we decided to stay one night in Santa Cruz Holiday Inn Express. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Fresno the night before (which that was an awesome stay). I was told when signing in, I had to pay a $7.00 fee to park my car. This was unexpected. I was told it was a new hotel and they are making people pay for the hotel and underground ground parking and I better go hurry up and park because many times it feels up and there isn't a place to park. Even after being forced to pay I asked? yes... My issue with this stay was the rudeness of the staff and the fact that I had to have medication refrigerated. I had an ulcer on my cornea and it was very serious, I needed to take drops every 2 hours. I was told only the suites get fridges and I could leave my medication with them and I could come down every two hours and put drops in my eyes. Are you kidding me? I didn't want to get dressed every two hours and go down stairs half asleep. So the girl brought me a small freeze pack and said, here use this. I told her this was no way going to keep my eye drops cold. She said that's all she can do to help. Well, I tried it. My drops didn't last 2 hours before getting warm. My husband had to go out last at night in a town we don't know and buy a mini ice chest to keep them warm. I was very upset that this hotel couldn't get a fridge in my room. I will never stay there again.,oh and for the breakfast, the bacon was burnt and put out that way, I asked to get fresh, I was told there was plenty put out and that must be eaten first. The rudeness of the staff as I explained my situation was terrible and unprofessional,. September 26, 2015
