We were happy with the Santa Rosa HIE. Have told management in past stays about needing a shelf in the shower to hold soap and shampoo. They still don't have those. We have stayed at this HIE in the past and plan to in the future.l

Typically, we are thanked for being a valued club member when ever we stay at an IHG property, but at the Santa Rosa Holiday Inn we were treated as just any other weary traveler. We specifically chose to join IHG because we always received great service and the hotels were clean. As club members, we are usually treated to a bottle of water or some little perk. Not at Santa Rosa! Being a priority club member apparently makes no difference to these folks! Is that the status quo now for IHG?!
We had traveled with some friends earlier this year and since they booked the rooms, we stayed at another well-known chain we will call 2 Oaks, to which they are club members. Not only did we receive water, we were offered fresh baked cookies! These little perks may not matter to you, but they did make an impression on us! Not being offered so much as a "thank you for your loyalty" from the staff at Santa Rosa also made an impression on us and not in a good way! My disappointment is reflected in this review. Will I recommend this hotel to a friend?! Not if they are an IHG MEMBER!

We were passing through New Mexico and decided to stop here for the night around 6pm. The parking lot was empty except for two cars. The large lobby was empty. I only assumed that this was a fairly new holiday inn express. The man behind the counter was not very welcoming. He also did not recognize me as a platinum member in any way at all. Upon being checked in, my kids and I went to the assigned first floor room. I went to close the drapes and noticed that the window was closed but was NOT locked. I locked it immediately. The breakfast the next morning wasn't the best. We arrived in the breakfast area at 6:50am. The food had been out awhile already. There was nobody eating yet. The scrambled eggs had dried out on the top and were crunchy tasting. The eggs should have perhaps been covered with a plastic wrap or something to prevent drying out. The bananas were so very brown that my son refused to eat it.

Rooms and entire facility were very clean. Staff was courteous & friendly.

We always look for Holiday Inn Express when we travel. We know that it will be clean, quiet, a good value and have everything we need to rest for our travels.

As I travel back and forth from IL to AZ, this Santa Rosa Holiday Inn Express will always be a place I stay! The staff, the service, the room, the breakfast, the cleanliness are always a "class act"! My wife and I could not be happier and more comfortable.
