Uncomfortable bathroom curtains enclosing shower and sink, I suggest putting box or at least separate the sink. Terrible breakfast: lacked bread and cheese bread in the two days we stayed at the hotel.

I was recommended this hotel as it was close to where I wouild be working. In Sao Paolo this is a very good thing.
My Portugese is non-existant, but the staff were very willing and able to speak english and help me out at every opportunity. even ordering me a Pizza one night as I was fed up with beef!
The King size room I had was spacious and had a great view from the 8th floor. If there is one criticism, and this is nit picking, then I would like a set of drawers for my non-hanging things. But this is nit picking.
Breakfast has everything you could want, from eggs to deli meat and cheese to cereal. No donuts, but other breads and rolls.
But the high light has to be the staff, who are without doubt the best in the business. They were always willing and able to respond to any reuest from Taxis to Pizza with good grace and humour.

The hotel is at very good location. The price is reasonable. The rooms are clean, silent and don’t take too much time to get your car back at parking lot ( very good work of valet).
Don’t expect too much, if you are gold or platinum at this location. No upgrades, they charge you extra for a higher speed internet. Unfortunately, I was not told about the internet rules on this hotel and only at check out an employee “reminded me” that according to IHG rules the hotel should provide a free internet ( at very lower speed). When you travel business, usually you have a very tight schedule and you can’t miss anytime. It is a frustration that despite being a loyalty member you still need to remember/ read the rules of the internet… for me sounds like an excuse… So, this incident offset my whole stay.

From the minute my wife and I walked into the hotel, we were impressed. As with most Brazilian businesses, the place was very clean and well-kept. We arrived about 10:30 in the morning after an overnight flight so it was well before check-in time. The desk clerk on duty was very accommodating and said our room was ready. He recognized my Platinum Elite status and gave me a nice canvas tote bag and an end room on the top floor which was very nice!
The hotel is located in an upper middle class area with several very good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, as well as two very nice multi-level shopping malls. It is a five minute bus or taxi ride to Barra Funda Terminal, which gives you access to the train and subway.
Breakfast each morning was exceptional and was a very typical Brazilian breakfast. It included fresh squeezed juices that rotated each day as well as a variety of freshly baked breads.
Two of the hotel team members, Renata and Caique were especially helpful in resolving an issue with another reservation and extended our stay at this property so we would not have to change hotels. Finally, on the last day of our stay, we told the staff that our flight wasn't until 9:00 p.m. and they again recognized my Platinum status and allowed us to stay until nearly 4:00 p.m.
I will definitely stay at this property again and I highly recommend it to others who are planning a visit to Sao Paulo.

This HI Express is a simple hotel but excellent. It has a high value for money. The room is reasonably large and clean. The bed is comfortable and the climate control is good. The bathroom consist only of a shower and it is a bit small. I had a very good stay in this hotel. The staff is very helpful and the location is good, not in a dangerous area. It is very near to a good japanese restaurant where you can eat sushi at reasonable price. It is within a walking distance to two shopping centers where you can buy all the things you want to buy and also eat at the eating mall. There is a good sushi shop at both shopping malls. Very nice eating mall. The nearest metro station is also within walking distance, but you can also take a taxy for about 12 Reais one way. But, if you are coming from the Guarulous airport, take the airport bus service which is much cheaper than a taxy. It is a bit far away from the airport. By bus it takes about one hour to the financial district, then take a taxy from there to the hotel.

I only stayed for one night but I got surprised of room quality. Besides of the rest of the facilities that are for 'express' service, the room space, environment and furnish were good and all clean.
Water was cold in the morning but after some time it got warm.
