The hotel is at very good location. The price is reasonable. The rooms are clean, silent and don’t take too much time to get your car back at parking lot ( very good work of valet).
Don’t expect too much, if you are gold or platinum at this location. No upgrades, they charge you extra for a higher speed internet. Unfortunately, I was not told about the internet rules on this hotel and only at check out an employee “reminded me” that according to IHG rules the hotel should provide a free internet ( at very lower speed). When you travel business, usually you have a very tight schedule and you can’t miss anytime. It is a frustration that despite being a loyalty member you still need to remember/ read the rules of the internet… for me sounds like an excuse… So, this incident offset my whole stay.

From the minute my wife and I walked into the hotel, we were impressed. As with most Brazilian businesses, the place was very clean and well-kept. We arrived about 10:30 in the morning after an overnight flight so it was well before check-in time. The desk clerk on duty was very accommodating and said our room was ready. He recognized my Platinum Elite status and gave me a nice canvas tote bag and an end room on the top floor which was very nice!
The hotel is located in an upper middle class area with several very good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel, as well as two very nice multi-level shopping malls. It is a five minute bus or taxi ride to Barra Funda Terminal, which gives you access to the train and subway.
Breakfast each morning was exceptional and was a very typical Brazilian breakfast. It included fresh squeezed juices that rotated each day as well as a variety of freshly baked breads.
Two of the hotel team members, Renata and Caique were especially helpful in resolving an issue with another reservation and extended our stay at this property so we would not have to change hotels. Finally, on the last day of our stay, we told the staff that our flight wasn't until 9:00 p.m. and they again recognized my Platinum status and allowed us to stay until nearly 4:00 p.m.
I will definitely stay at this property again and I highly recommend it to others who are planning a visit to Sao Paulo.

This HI Express is a simple hotel but excellent. It has a high value for money. The room is reasonably large and clean. The bed is comfortable and the climate control is good. The bathroom consist only of a shower and it is a bit small. I had a very good stay in this hotel. The staff is very helpful and the location is good, not in a dangerous area. It is very near to a good japanese restaurant where you can eat sushi at reasonable price. It is within a walking distance to two shopping centers where you can buy all the things you want to buy and also eat at the eating mall. There is a good sushi shop at both shopping malls. Very nice eating mall. The nearest metro station is also within walking distance, but you can also take a taxy for about 12 Reais one way. But, if you are coming from the Guarulous airport, take the airport bus service which is much cheaper than a taxy. It is a bit far away from the airport. By bus it takes about one hour to the financial district, then take a taxy from there to the hotel.

I only stayed for one night but I got surprised of room quality. Besides of the rest of the facilities that are for 'express' service, the room space, environment and furnish were good and all clean.
Water was cold in the morning but after some time it got warm.

Not a "central" tourist location for Sao Paulo, but that's why I like the location. It's in a nice neighborhood, a 10-minute walk to Bourbon Mall, a very nice shopping mall, as well as Palmeiros soccer team stadium. There is a bus to the Barra Funda Metro station, as well as a bus the other direction to Avenida Paulista. Supermarket (small) behind hotel; supermarket (huge) at Shopping Bourbon Mall.
We stayed total 5 nights, in 2 separate stays.
Staff friendly, good attentive breakfast service, clean rooms. Pretty standard HIX experience, but very good for Sao Paulo.
As a Platinum Elite, got a nice tote bag and an end room, quite nice and big!

Bike/Pedestrian path out front - good for a 5K!
2 (slight) drawbacks:
- Breakfast bar needs more items
- No gym, spa, or pool
Otherwise, this is a great place!

Comfortable room and bed, good quantity and quality of amenities. Breakfast is on average only, good juices.
The position of safe box is very, very poor. The water in toilet was weak, but worked.

I was leery to stay here as I do not know the area and have never been in that area very much. I have been to Sao Paulo 40 times over the years but normally stay at the Intercontinental Hotel downtown or the Renaissance. I am so glad I found this hotel. The Holiday Inn Express met and exceeded my expectations and I am so happy I chose this hotel over the other ones.
The location is in a very upper middle class area and I felt perfectly safe day and night. There were many good restaurants in the area and I walked to most of them. I was at the hotel for 8 nights. I felt very safe the entire time.
The rooms are very basic and noting amazing but the staff is exceptional. They are knowledgeable and helpful and friendly. I could not have asked for a better front desk group.
The Breakfast was sufficient and always several choices. The hotel is very clean and things just run well.
The Bourbon Mall is a short taxi ride away or about 25 min walk. I walked it several times and enjoyed the walk. The taxi ride was about 5 min to the mall.
The subway stop is nearby and it also walkable and the hotel is always willing to call a taxi for you.
I had a great stay and the staff is to be commended on running such a great hotel!

I booked this hotel in advance for the night of December 31, attracted by the 'book early for lower price' policy. I was surprised to find out that the hotel was near empty, and night rates were cheaper at the front desk than the price I had been charged. I asked for a reduction in price to pay the same amount as people who came to the front desk with no prior reservation, and that was denied. I ended up paying more for having booked in advance.
The breakfast was poor, the food was horrible and the food amount too little for the quantity of guests.

Everybody has been very friendly and also very helpful. They really try to please their customers.
I wish the hotel had at least a small fitness room with basic workout equipment.
