Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend stay Two things that we found hard to get over. First off the lack of hot water and pressure in our shower. And the fact that we had to park across the street at the mall because there was a Greyhounds game going on next door. So there was no parking for hotel customers. The Greyhound fans took all the parking spots. Hotel wise everything else was good. The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. The elevator could definitely use an upgrade. GREAT people, know my needs and the location is perfect (near mall, lake, arena, casino etc.). I recommend it to anyone I meet who plans on visiting the SOO. Recent upgrading is very nice too. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Customer care needs improvement Although the room was clean and comfortable and the rate reasonable for the purpose of my stay, the service left a lot to be desired. When paying to stay at a hotel, I expect to have access to it's parking lot. Unfortunately, due to a local hockey game, the hotel parking lot was taken over by hockey fans attending the game across the street. I was informed that I could park in a no-parking spot in the laneway of the hotel but that once local traffic left the lot after the game I would have to go and move my vehicle. My son and I were on our way to bed and I had to inform staff that I would not be going back down to move as I was a paying guest and should have had parking in the first place. I was informed that I was taking a risk of being towed, to which I stated my vehicle had better be there in the morning. I think the hotel needs to enforce a no-parking for local traffic and take care of their paying guests. I will not stay here again and I will not recommend it to anyone either. What ever happened to customer service??? BTW, I was with a group of people staying and other members in the group had the same experience. February 26, 2014
