Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Location is fantastic, concierge service is terrific, and can honestly say that every staff person from front desk to room / housekeeping was friendly and willing to go out of their way to help.

I have stayed at this facility many times. This trip, the bar area was under reconstruction. Beverages were available but the bar area wasn't.
My vehicle was damaged wile the parking staff was parking it but the staff handled the accident quickly. We are working through the insurance carrier for the hotel.

Most of my experiences with Holiday are unremarkable - just the way I like them. Unfortunately, this stay was remarkable, and here are the remarks:
The wait was far too long to get valet service...in or out. They need more folks working valet for what they are charging.
One of the elevators was not working properly while I was there, so I needed to walk the stairs (which I don't mind).
The front desk clerk told me that I could park on the street overnight for free, but failed to mention the street sweepers coming by and writing tickets...I should have paid more attention to the signs, but now the City of Savannah has my vehicle in its database.
Upon checkout, the girl at the front desk was not able to provide a detailed bill because the room was being paid for by my company. That is stupid; I want to make sure that the charges are correct because if there are movies or something on the bill that is not supposed to be there, then my company will automatically charge me for them. The system is wrong or she just didn't want to provide it - either way, she was willing to hand me a blank piece of paper...literally, she handed me a blank piece of paper.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and I slept great! Hotel breakfast same as all the others but okay. I would stay here again.

We spend a week every spring in Savannah and have in the past stayed elsewhere. Tried the Holiday Inn Express and had a great experience. Will definitely be back again.
Very clean. Courteous Staff. Great location in the historic district.

Problems: elevators too small only two one not operating much of the time. No concierge. Room: bed soft and wavy, dresser drawer would not close, couch was dirty, showerhead did not operate properly. No shower cap. No Bathroom fan. Lobby very small. Etc. Property over priced.

Do not stay here. The experience is bad. There are two small elevators for a seven floor hotel with probably a 150 or more rooms. The second elevator was not working for most of the four day stay. No concierge assistance. Carry your own luggage in and out. The furniture in the room was cheap. The couch was dirty, probably not cleaned in eons, if at all. The dresser had a drawer that would not close. The breakfast was mediocre. The room had no fan in the shower room and the shower head was defective. No food room service. The hotel was crowded and accessing the elevator required lengthy waits and crowded quarters.

Very nice hotel close to almost everything in downtown Savannah. We parked our car on Friday and did not use again until we left on Sunday. The room was clean, breakfast was good, staff was very friendly. There was a problem with one of the elevators that delayed us a bit, but not too bad. Apparently the elevator had been an issue for a few days. We would choose to stay at this location again.
