Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by one of the best stays This was mine and my wife's second time at this property and it was as good or better than the first time. The staff was again very courterous and took great care of us. We were this time for a Military Police Ball that my wife was invited to and the staff was very helpful in us checking in and being ready on time to walk a couple of blocks to the ball. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect experience For our first time in Savannah we could not have picked a better place to stay. This intimate and comfortable hotel was close to all the places we wanted to see in the historic district. The room was clean and comfortable and provided a welcome atmosphere to return to after a day of walking through this beautiful city. The staff went out of their way everyday to provide a great first experience with Holiday Inn Express. The front desk personel were very informative and friendly, and other members of the staff were ready with recommendations to make our stay a memorable one. Kudos to Ricky the bellman, and bartenders Becky and Gustavo who shared their favorite sites and restaurants. This was an altogether delightful experience for us. We will be back! October 27, 2012

Liked hotel going "green", from Lighting to not changing bed linnen and bath towels daily, but when we requested a change. Staff was very helpful and cheerful. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service and prime location The location was ideal and the price was great for the location. The staff at the hotel were excellent. They were always willing to help and recommended some very good restaurants in walking distance of the hotel. The only negative was the bed was not comfortable. The linens had little nubbies that scratched so I pulled the sheet up over the fitted sheet which made it more comfortable. It appeared the sheets had been washed with terry cloth towels. The bed was not secure to the back wall and squeaked every time I moved. However it was tolerable for a couple of nights. Had a room with a view which was very pleasing. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel. October 23, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not as good as before Stayed here a couple of years ago and had a great room with fantastic view. Couldn't wait to bring our new friend here to experience Savannah in all of its beauty. Paid extra for a room with a view thinking it would be similar to last visit. First issue was that we requested two queens and a rollaway. Checked in and was told they could not put a rollaway in the room (Fire Marshall was blamed). When we saw the room, I could see why. Very small. Window was half as large as last visit. And it was totally covered with moisture by late that evening. consequently NO VIEW at all. Not sure I will be coming back. This experience, plus having to pay valet to park not worth the cost. October 22, 2012

Never receieved a call back letting us know one way or the other. That was dissappointing and the reason for the average rating on Staff & Service, however alll other staff was great and overall a nice place to stay. October 22, 2012

Only thing is the jacuzzi should be open later than 11 pm, we were on our way to enjoy it and at 1030, the maintenance or pool person was already on his way up to the top floor to close it down. One of the reasons we booked this hotel was for the rooftop jacuzzi and would have loved that after a tiring walk around downtown Savannah. That was disappointing! October 21, 2012

It was very convenient to have breakfast included and economical as well. staff was very helpful and friendly. they assisted us on transportation to the airport. very satisfied with our experience. the staff kept our room nice and clean. the mattress on the bed was a little older feeling, but fine. close to river and shops. easy to walk to all attractions October 21, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good hotel but details not attended to I had a comfortable, clean room with a bed that gave me a good night's sleep. It was the little things that I found missing. The walls in the elevators were smudged, fingerprinted and just plain dirty - and they stayed that way through my three-day stay. There were bowls of fruit set out for patrons - but two of the three apples I took had large rotten areas in them. There was a bath mat in the bathroom my first night and it was taken away the next morning. There was no bath mat left for either of the other two nights. My room was in dire need of a thorough dusting - especially the lamps. Nitpicking? Probably. But, Holiday Inn has been a dependable inkeeper for the thirty plus years that I have been traveling and they normally do better than this. October 16, 2012
