The location is amazing. You are in the heart of Savannah. Staff is always helpful. Stayed here 2 times and loved both trips. Will stay here again.

The staff as well as the rooms at the Savannah-Historic District Holiday Inn were as good as it gets. I had some problems with getting my reservations at the Holiday Inn Web site, but the people at Savannah made me forget any problems that I had!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Savannah Historic Holiday Inn Express. My Mom is in her 80's and really appreciated the accessible room with it's spacious bath. The comfy beds and clean and cozy lobby added to the fabulous nights. James at the valet was able to provide a real southern welcome. The staff at the front desk was friendly and quick in response to our requests. We plan to visit this hotel again in the future.

We just spent two nights in Savannah on a quick break from the Tampa area. The hotel is in a perfect location, park your car and everything is within walking distance. River Walk is right across the street with tons of shops and restaurants. Toured the city on the Old Savannah trolley, great way to learn more about the history of Savannah and become familiar with its layout and must-see areas.
Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Lots of choices for breakfast to suit everyone. We were able to park in the adjacent parking garage for two days at a cost of $14, otherwise the hotel fee is $20 per night. We will definitely visit Savannah again.

Great location, great time, friendly and knowledgable staff. Comfortable & modern facility. Becky the bar tender knew the area like the back of her hand and relayed the knowledge in a friendly and pleasant way.

Excellent location. Directly across the street from riverfront and walking distance from many resturants and drinking establishments. Breakfast food selection one of the best. Cons:
valet parking $20 per night.. bed was very hard. Overall good to excellent would book here again.

Members of my family and I recently stayed to attend my sons wedding. As always, we had a beautiful and comfortable room! We usually stay there because of the great location to all the places we love to visit but mostly because we always can be assured of the comfort and quality of the service and amenitites your facility offers.

Been staying here for 4 years straight, and it will be absolutely the LAST time. The location is prime, the rooms are very small (but clean), and the breakfast is plentiful and more than adequate.
This outfit says they have WiFi in their rooms, but they DON'T ! When we brought this issue up with the person at the front desk at checkout she said, "yeah, the manager knows our internet doesn't work."
They know it doesn't work but they still charge a premium for their rooms = fail. There are other places nearby that have internet availability in room with comparable facilities at lower prices ~ we'll be staying there from here on.
The manager of this place has failed in the last year. Won't ever stay here again. You lost me as a customer.

This was a great place to stay while we were in Savannah. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They made great recommendations on things to see and places to eat. We parked the car and was able walk to everything, even forsyte park. The rooms were very clean and up to date. One small issue was that we only had a shower and no tub. I like a shower the wife likes a tub. The pool and hot tub on the roof were great. Nothing better than a hot soak after walking all day. The breakfast was pretty good. Eggs, bacon, sausage as well as biscuit and gravy. It had a pancake maker instead of the usual waffle maker. Also mostly carb's and not much fruit. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that is going to Savannah.

I usually don't write reviews but I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We were only in Savannah for the weekend and wanted a hotel that was convenient to River St and the historic district. HIE was perfect. Everything was just a short walk away and public parking was also conveniently located behind the hotel so we didn't have to pay for vallet when we chose to drive. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to get an end room so it was very quiet and the room was very clean and modern. I appriciate the fact that they wash everything so I wasn't grossed out by the comforter. The room was a bit pricy for my standards but it was very well worth it. We will definately stay here again.

Had a great one night stay over on our way to Florida. Room was great overlooking the Savannah River. (Recommend asking for this view.)
Room was above adequate and facilities were good. Breakfast was adequate and it was nice to eat in the hotel rather than try and find a decent breakfast.
Everything was good until it came time for our check out. We were staying in town for the day sight seeing and asked that out bags be kept safely in the hotel office. This request was accommodated. I pulled the baggage cart full of 4 people’s luggage into the office and left it there loaded. Upon our return for the baggage I was directed back into the office where I found that the baggage cart had been unloaded and our bags were in a pile in the corner of the office. (Obviously, the cart had been needed for other guest's baggage.) The front desk clerk who let me into the office simply carried on his conversation with another hotel staff member and totally ignored the situation. I went back out of the office to acquire a baggage cart and dragged it back into the office. I proceeded to load all the baggage onto the cart myself, while he stood chatting. Once loaded, he watched me trying to get a self closing door open and held, while I dragged the cart out of the office. There was no offer of help from this desk clerk or the woman he was speaking to. No offer of calling a porter to assist me or even simply holding the door while I pulled the cart out of the office. Amazing how the actions, or lack of them, by one member of staff, can ruin an otherwise great stay at a hotel. All other staff were great especially the helpful valet parking staff. I still recommend this hotel purely for its location.

My sister, my daughter and my 3 grandchildren stayed there and we cannot say enough nice things about this hotel. The staff, service, room, continental breakfast, etc. was excellent. Our only regret is that we only stayed there one night, our second night we stayed at another hotel (that was supposedly an upgrade) and we were disappointed with the second hotel. The second hotel did not compare at all with the Holiday Inn. We were very surprised at how big the rooms were and and that it appeared as it had been recenly remodeled. The fireplace in their lobby was very enjoyabe and we lounged there after our breakfast. We aslo found the Holiday Inn to be very family friendly. We wil definitley stay there on ou next visit for the whole duration.

I stayed during the Rock & Roll Marathon. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff were all very nice and professional. The location was perfect for eating out and walking along river street. The breakfast was wonderful. Even though it was cold outside, my family went to the pool deck and played cards and watched the cargo ships go by!!
