Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 Awful noise I stayed at the Holiday Inn Scarborough for two nights in August 2014. The experience was AWFUL!!! There was so much noise in the corridor and outside that I didn't get to sleep till past 3 am on both nights. When I called down to the front desk the gentleman told me that he would get security to quiet the other patrons down . They didn't quiet down till past 4 am on the first night. All night I heard doors being slammed and people screaming and running around in the halls. When I confronted the manager after my first night she wanted to give me a 15% discount which to me seemed ridiculous.Then she decided to give me a 25% discount( which seemed unfair ) but I agreed. The next night she assured me that there would be no noise . Well again I didn't sleep the second night but this time the manager on duty ( named Peter) told me that he was sorry to hear about this bit did nothing to compensate me.i promise you that I will NEVER sleep at any holiday inn again and I will definitely tell all my friends about this awful experience along with telling trip advisor about this location . The staff was always smile and happy which in turn made the guests happy and relax. My stay was wonderful /I have not even one complaint . Thank you to all the staff and a special thanks for the juice /it small things that make your stay special August 27, 2014

This hotel has nice rooms, good breakfast with lots of room to sit down and very polite staff. I will stay here when I am in town for sure. August 26, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable and great service Great place to stay quiet, staff accommodating, did not know there was a pool. I gave one suggestion to a front desk staff. I am a smoker, when sitting out front in front of doors I felt guilty because the people exit out the front door right into the smoke. I suggested moving the bench and ash tray down to the next level and move the potted plants up. This will allow people walking out or in to the hotel not have to walk through the smoke or smell of smoke won't be as bad. August 25, 2014

Upon arrival, I was informed that there were no non-smoking rooms left and I my only option was a smoking room. The smell of the room was nauseating, and I woke up with a headache. This is not acceptable, as far as I am concerned. August 22, 2014
