Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great area and clean! This was a nice place to stay. Located near IKEA, the mall, and lots of other shopping and restaurants. It was very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was free (nice!)... However, there were not a lot of options for people with certain diet restrictions, like gluten free. Overall, it was an excellent stay with a great price. November 15, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by horrible customer service When I walked at the hotel, no one was at the desk. waited over 20 mins, no apologies from Danny the agent, no sincere feelings for making us wait when 2 other families wanted to checkin. agent was full of herself cause she's only working 3 weeks with the company and working all by herself. After checking in, room door was not working properly called the desk and she said no one can fix it since the maintenance is done for the day. Being hotel almost sold out she said she doesnt have anymore room to switch me with. Explained to her it is unacceptable and needs to have it fix. Again, no apologies from her. Over the night no one has had our door fixed. And not a a single recognition for being a member October 30, 2013

Nightly hot snacks and drinks are always nice and welcome after a long day at the office. Close to restaurants also. Staff are always accomodating and friendly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice for a weekend away. A group of us wanted to get away for a weekend and didn't want to spend a fourtune on a hotel. This hotel was close to everything! Medieval Times was right down the street, the mall was close and it was very affordable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was wonderful! The hotel itself was very clean and well kept. Would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable hotel. I would stay there again! October 4, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable stay AC unit was very noisy with extreme vibration. Called front desk to complain and was asked to turn it off so they could hear me on the room phone. At 11:30 pm, front desk finally offered to swap rooms but I declinednwithnthe promise that it would be fixed by maintenance on the second day. day two, unit was even louder despite being told repairs were made during the day. as a frequent HIE customer, I would not recommend this location as this was my second experience with this location. Never again. I value my sleep and a responsive staff. August 31, 2013

That is how it was here the last couple times but this time I had to go to the desk and the guy fumbled around a while and finally checked me out. August 15, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Cross Country Trip Value My daughter and I drove from Maryland to Seattle in 4 days. The weather was beautiful, the roadwork was at a minimum, and the traffic was bearable. But what really made our trip a pleasure were 2 of the 3 hotels we enjoyed during our trip. We stayed in a HIE in Schaumberg, IL and Mitchell, SD. Both were wonderful stops with a great value and a comfortable stay. We TRIED to stay in a HIE in Bozeman, MT, but there was no room at the inn, even though I tried booking our stay at least 3 weeks prior to arrival. I know, summer is busy and I need to plan ahead. Our stay at a competitor's hotel in Bozeman was less than satisfactory. HIE has it figured out. They offer a great room-service-amenities package, and they do the little things to make you feel welcome. I travel frequently between Seattle and Tucson, AZ--- and I always stay at HIE. My real favorite is in Beaumont, CA. But each hotel does a equally fine job. My compliments. July 29, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Bed and Great Service Pros: 1. Tom and Elizabeth man the front desk. They both always have a smile, are always approachable, and never say no to a request. 2. The beds are very comfortable. 3. Rooms are clean and not cramped. 4 I always feel welcome at check-in and throughout my stay. Cons: None of these are deal breakers, however, if implemented would improve the stay. 1. Pillows are a bit lumpy. Would be nice to have feather pillows. 2. Oatmeal, not the packaged kind, would be a nice breakfast choice. 3. Some of the AC units are noisy. I bring a pair of earplugs in case that happens in my room. June 19, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy Neighbours The hotel was well situated, the Sports bar next door was good for a beer and a burger, unfortunately our stay was spoiled by very noisy Guests on our floor, threats from the Mamagement to throw them out seemed to have no effect and led to a night with very little sleep. Good breakfast and great evening managers reception - OK it was pizza and beer but it really hit the spot and is usually not offered by most hotels in this price category. The hotel is slightly off the beaten path but definitely tries harder. One suggestion for improvement might be a self service laundry area. June 10, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Staff was Stellar! We did not use a lot of the services as we had plans outside of the hotel. We were welcomed so warmly by the staff (two men) and the checking was smooth, even a small glitch on one computer didn't slow these two. Each time we went in or out of the hotel we were greeted with eye contact and a friendly smile! this was a comfortable place to stay and I will stay here again. June 5, 2013

The front desk was extraordinary with their customer service. They were very friendly and actually had several conversations with me. I never have been to any place that was that way. They REALLY paid attention to mine and my husbands needs. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. When I go to Chicago in the future, I will stay again even if my business is in the city. Room clean comfortable except housekeeping turned up heat whenever they worked causing the room to be quite warm upon our return each day. Platinum upgrades are limited and an upgrade is just a slightly larger king room. Breakfast was very good and well kept despite large numbers. Will have to call priority club in regards to points discrepancy. Not the hotel's fault. May 18, 2013
