Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nice enough for the Mother-in-Law! I flew my MIL up for a surprise Christmas gift for my Wife. My wife was in tears when she saw her Mom. The room was perfect. At the end of the hall on the top floor. I've been very happy with Holiday Inn Express's ever since I joined up. The breakfast's were so nice that I drove over every morning to pick her up, just to grab a bite! I did pay for the room, by the way. The welcome gift was very nice and hit the spot. This property is located just far enough away from the airport to be out of the way but right there for pick ups and drop offs. This hotel is of new construction and built to very nice standards. The rooms are super quiet and have many modern appliances to offer. December 8, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average due to staff Front desk staff very robotic. Not very friendly, not rude but just seems to be waiting for time to go home. No thank you or any contact for elite members. Not like most Holiday Inn Express. Shuttle drivers were excellent and caring. Nothing to remember about this hotel special. However, there were several old and/or broken toilets in the parkade and three damaged sofa beds on the mezzanine floor. Perhaps they were renovating and these items hadn't been taken away?? Our room was clean. We were a party of four but there were only three towels in our room; housekeeping staff provided a couple more when asked. Same thing happened on our second day. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No frills This hotel did not have frills and was generic at best. At no point was I greeted upon arrival, nor was I even acknowledged when I left. Matter of fact, the woman behind counter never even looked up as I was leaving. I don't want this to sound like a spoiled, whiny customer, but as a Platinum member I stay at a lot of Priority Club hotels and this was probably at the lower end of the spectrum. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay The first room that I was assigned had a very strong chemical smell; perhaps they had just cleaned the carpets? The window only opened one inch; when I asked if they would be able to open it just an inch or two more, so that the room could be aired out, they told me that it was not possible, due to the fact that they did not want guests to jump out of the window. I only wanted it opened a few inches. The next room I was given was right next to the street and was noisy due to traffic and the security lights. I will stay someplace else next time, although I am a loyal ICH priority club platinum member (which was also not mentioned upon my check in). November 13, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Way better than last week - at a different motel Last week I stayed in a motel (different chain) that should have been at least a 4 star motel. I would give it a 2. It was such tight quarters, not enough electrical outlets for 2 people, and the maintenance people were still working outside at 10 pm and their storage area was right outside our window. Just a little odd, to say the least. Did I mention that our view was of a nice Holiday Inn Express right across the parking area. We were wishing we had stayed there instead. This week the room at Holiday Inn Express was FABULOUS! Spacious, clean, lovely layout & decor. I could have stayed all week and been happy. Thanks for restoring my faith in Motels. October 29, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor experience Raining when we arrived, parked in garage and tried to enter building, door locked no entry - no bell to ring, had to walk to front of building in the rain. Am a Gold member and they did not have my check-in prepared, no reference to being a Gold member if fact was told that they did not have any information on me. I know my info was available as my corporate travel made reservations and had used other hotels during the trip. They were very weak in customer service. October 29, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Functional When I travel for business and pleasure I plan on staying at a Holiday Inn Express, however I was disappointed with this property. It was not to the standard that I have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. The breakfast menu was good and the staff was very helpful there. My problem was the front desk staff. They seemed to be uninformed about the resturants in the area and local attractions. I must say that there was young lady who was very hlpful, the others did not seem to care. The furniture was a little out-dated. I would have like another chair in the room (there was only a desk chair). It was a functional property. I will not return. October 26, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Common Area is Grand, Rooms are outdated My first impression of the hotel was awesome. However, upon entering the room we'd been upgraded to . . . not so much. The amenities were fine. The carpet was disgusting and it was in thorough need of a deep clean in the bathrooms and kitchenette. Our TV in the bedroom didn't work - and it was not due to batteries in the remote. Also when checking in - the guest services manager handed us a bag to share for 4 people (1 bag of popcorn and 1 bottle of water). At all prior stays at other properties they give one bag per person. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Everything we needed for a vacation. Our Holiday Inn Suite was great! Once the staff gathered enough pots and pans and dishes for us, we were off to a great start. Beds were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was superb for this gluten-intolerant traveler. Not having to leave the building for breakfast was wonderful! Plus, our early birds could go down and read the paper and have breakfast--and leave us late sleepers alone!! The room was clean and large enough to invite friends in. We highly recommend. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lack of organization and customer care My status is - INTERCONTINENTAL - AMBASSADOR. Now the facts. Island No. 1 Seattle airport late in the evening. I waited over 40 minutes for a bus Shuttle. Three (3) Shuttle Holiday In / Holiday Express, refuse me a ride to the hotel. I learned that he has to be white bus Holiday inn. Phoned 2 times to the hotel reception (men talked with me) and 1 once phoned the Island No.1 - (Table phones) to some bus driver? Why has no information that this is a bus to the hotel Holiday Inn & Hilton together. TAXI I could take and save a lot of stress? I had to pressure myself, so I received a better room - it should automatically go out of the hotel employees.I could not sleep the first night because the whole was a lot of stress - could have been avoided. The location to SeaTac is perfect, the rooms are very comfortable and the price is always reasonable for what we get. The breakfast is great and the staff is always kind and helpful. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Always accomodating, my regular stop when in Seattle I am always pleased with the staff and accommodations. I stay there regularly as it is very well situation to the airport, freeways and restaurants. But I must say that I HATE the elevators! While I rarely complain unless sincerely asked, the elevators here are the slowest I have ever seen. Trying to get down to the lobby for a cup of coffee at peak time in the morning has taken me up to 4 minutes. While that does not sound like a long time, it depends on what you are doing. 4 minutes staring at a door is a very long time, basically an eternity. Normally I would take the stairs to avoid it altogether, but there is NO logical escape route here. Bad, old, slow elevators always make me consider other options when I book Seattle trips, but I always forget how bad they are until after I arrive and then I am stuck waiting for the hamsters in a wheel to decide to take me up to my room. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Loved our stay Learned at check-in they'd upgraded our room to a suite because we had told them our Navy son would be staying with us for two of the three nights. It was nice to have the extra lounging room away from the beds, which were extremely comfortable and loaded with fluffy pillows. Staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel is close to SeaTac airport, yet not too far from downtown Seattle. Good restaurants and shopping nearby also. October 15, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service and Convenient Location My wife and I spent two nights at this hotel (one night before and one night after a 4-day excursion to Vancouver) and we really appreciated the great service of the front-desk personnel. The shuttle from and to the airport ran smoothly, and breakfast (which begins at an incredible 5 AM!) was a nice treat. I'd happily stay here again! October 12, 2012

We had already turned in our rental car and the Holiday Inn Express provided transportation to a local restaurant. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was courteous and efficient. We are from Georgia and our first experience with Holiday Inn Express was in San Diego. We were so impressed that for the next 3 weeks our first choice of hotels was Holiday Inn Express.
