This new sight is a quiet hotel on Aurora which is away from the construction in the Lake Union area, but still provides easy access to downtown. Also close to Ballard, Green Lake. Desk has good suggestions on local restaurants.

Bed was very comfortable, as was the room; We booked a king suite. The bathroom, however, was quite tight. (You can not get to the tub until first closing the door - the same with the toilet.)

The room was comfortable and the bed was the most comfortable we have had in a hotel!
Breakfast was good but they had trouble keeping up.
Only 20 minutes to Fremont for Geocaching and Lynnwood for shopping.

We stayed only for 2 days, but found the hotel to be good. we had tried to get a hotel in downtown, but due to busy summer season, were only able to get this hotel. It is out of the way from the downtown tourist attractions, and a vehicle is needed. It would have been nice if a shuttle bus was available to take you downtown and back at different times of the day.
the free parking and the free breakfast were perks and made it affordable with 2 kids and 2 seniors.
the rooms were comfortable, but it would be nicer if the coffee machine was outside of the bathroom. there was enough space in the room to put in a small cabinet to house a little kitchen centre..
at least the microwave was outside the bathroom.
my kids were disappointed that the tv did not have the disney channels..
however, overall, it was a good stay, with good service.

I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Northgate Holiday Inn Express. I was trying to avoid Aurora which I associate with strip clubs, gigantic signs, fast food and tire joints, traffic and noise, but since I used priceline, I had to go with whatever I got.
This hotel was VERY clean, and well-staffed. I didn't see a single thing out of place in my room. It was very comfortable and most of all, very quiet. The location is convenient to the 5 freeway, and fairly close to Greenlake neighborhood and downtown. In other words, you drive 5 - 15 minutes away and you're pretty much where you want to be. We drove down Aurora to downtown once on Saturday night and that was a little busy, but what can you expect. The location is not nearly as out of the way as I thought it would be. I wouldn't go there again ONLY because I still don't like Aurora but NOT because of the quality of the hotel. I did not have the continental breakfast so I can't comment on that.

This was my first stay after the recent remodel - looks so nice! I've been coming to this hotel for 5+ years a few times a year for work - it's always been a nice, clean and comfortable stay. Our company has booked meetings and our out-of-town visitors @ this hotel many times over the years, too - always with good reviews.

The room was clean. The price was right. Breakfast was well stocked. Friendly courteous staff. Only issue is that there are 2 HI Express in the same road only seven miles apart. Easy to confuse the two

One of the best Value propositions I've seen. Awesome breakfast, nice and quiet room and good price. The ONLY this that would make this hotel the PERFECT CHOICE to stay in Seattle is a daily Shuttle service for Guests between the hotel and Downtown.

The hotel was nice as normal. The front desk lady was absolutely wonderful, friendly and willing to help with all questions or calling a taxi, etc. The employee who took over after her shift was rude and not friendly. There were no towels in the swimming area so after asking for them he took a long time to bring them. The hot tub was not warm at all!! which was absolutely discouraging because this was the ONLY reason we chose to pick this hotel because it had a hot tub. I am overall dissatisfied and regretful of wasting my money on an expensive stay that was not worth it.

My wife and two sons and myself came to Seattle for an overnight stay we decided on one room and found it to be comfortable clean and enough towels for all of us .breakfast was usual for express lots to eat and hot coffee (get there early if you want to sit and eat it fills up fast) it was an extra 15 to 20 minutes to downtown but we were in know hurry so we enjoyed the drive........

During a 9 day road trip from California to Canada with my family we stayed at multiple Holiday Inns. This one outshined them all. Their customer service was amazing. The rooms were clean & comfotable. The staff friendly & responsive to the customers. At check in I received goody bags for my kids with little toys and games for them and a box with snacks in it. The first morning we were there we discovered the coffee pot was broken. After calling the front desk someone was at our room in 5 minutes with a new coffee pot still in the box & set it up for us. Upon leaving the desk clerk was assisting a guest who was a handicap woman with brushing and putting her hair up. The breakfast area was consistantly clean and well stocked. As long as guests were arriving & eating breakfast they kept serving even after their "cut off" time. This did not happen at any of the other hotels we stayed in. Being in customer service myself I notice and appreciate these things.

This was an uncommonly long stay (13 nights).
Overall, the experience was very good, up to the value one expects from a Holiday Inn hotel.
The room (suite) was spacious, the bed was comfortable (the pillows a little soft - even the "firm" pillows#, furniture practical and in good state, the kitchenette's equipment of a good size #particularly important in a long stay#.
However, there were a couple of details - all related to the personnel in the breakfast area, that could be improved with proper supervision.

Breakfast was supposed to be from 6am to 9:30AM. We got to the dinning room at 9:15am. One of the breakfast items was out. We asked one of the staffs if she could bring out more. She said she would check to see if they had more. A minute later she came back and told us that she was told that although they had more they stopped stocking additional breakfast items at 9:15AM. This was the most ridiculous policy we have seen. We have been in many other Holiday Inns and saw breakfast served way beyond 9:30AM. Staff will bring out more even at 9:30AM. If breakfast ends at 9:30AM food should be supplied until 9:30AM.
We asked the front desk if that was the policy of the hotel. The clerk said that is not the hotel policy and that he would inform the manager of such behavior. So far we have not heard anything from the hotel management.
Needless to say, we were OK with the front desk since they were very helpful but were very disappointed at the breakfast staff's "policy".

My only complaint is the road noise and the fact that they forgot to turn down the outside lobby music until I called them around midnight. Other than that the entire staff was fantastic!!!!! The pool and the hot tub was great, there were restaurants within walking distance, but being that I am a female and was alone (business trip) I did not feel comfortable walking so I drove. The room was really nice! It was way more than what I expected! It had a fridge, micro, sink, dishes, couch, coffee table, desk table and the goodies in the room were awesome! There was even a bag of microwave popcorn! If I come back to the area I will stay here.

Although the neighborhood may have a few unsavory features, this place is very clean and well kept. The service is professional and efficient. We expected a lot from Holiday Inn, and we got it. My family and I recommend it.

We only stay there for one night that is why we would like to have something which is famous for its worldwide standard. We found this hotel because of its proximity to where we need to be. The room is quiet, good sound resistance, and to me, the bed is the most important thing in a hotel, I trust Holiday Inn for their worldwide standard and it did not disappoint me. Will stay here again.

This is a comfortable, convenient option if you need to stay in the North Seattle area. The 24 hour available pool, fitness center, free wireless, adequate free parking and ample buffet type breakfast put this hotel a step above the other hotels in the area. One of the real strengths of this hotel is the excellent staff. EVERY employee in this hotel is well trained and truly goes above and beyond the call of duty. Gavin and Amber at the front desk made us welcome, checked us in and out efficiently, and even came up promptly to our room to address a problem with our t.v.! We had left a tip for the maid on the table after our first day, and she didn't touch it because we hadn't left a note indicating it was for her!

Overall the hotel is a nice place to stay, but on the first night we checked in, I found a strand of "curly" hair on my pillow, and there was this smell that makes it seem the pillow has been used already; not the type of smell you get from a clean bed. Thence, i have to use a clean towel to wrap around the pillow for two nights before I go to sleep. Aside from the pillow, there was also a few strand of hair on the bathtub and on the floor, quite a disappointment, actually. Perhaps this is what you expect for staying an Express hotel?
