This Holiday Inn is modern and clean like most of the IHG group inns. I stay frequently and they have a standard that i have come to expect and is the reason i search for them first.

Close-ish to downtown. Right on the bus line, so that is convenient to get to the city and not have to worry about the traffic and parking.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rwc1947 not good value
Rooms are expensive and noisy due to the quality of construction. Rooms were reasonably clean but not the public areas. Facility is not located in the best part of town.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by ManyFaced Overpriced, noisy, and bad location
Hotel is located in sketchy part of town across the street from marijuana dispensary, surrounded by auto sales/repair, and on a busy road. Noise level from the street is very evident from within the rooms. We did not feel safe walking around the area and riding the city bus to downtown was an "interesting" experience. Restaurants in the vicinity were limited and terrible, but hotel staff made excellent recommendations for locations within driving distance. Wifi was extremely terrible: weak and unreliable signal, but it was free, so...
Failed to meet our expectations considering the nightly cost. Wouldn't recommend at current cost.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MommaCrys Great place for a family stay
We had a great time we were in town for a family reunion of sorts :-) the staff made us all feel very comfortable and welcome. The front desk staff helped us with all of our needs even the little things that would have just been silly to anyone else made a big impact on us. I would stay again with my little family!!

This area is good option to avoid traffic for Seattle downtown visit. It is on opposite direction. Boeing's Flight Museum is a must. Space Needle and Pike Pier are for tourist. Enjoy.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DeenyMc Excellent Service
The employees made all the difference! The hotel was very well maintained and clean, but the helpfulness of the staff made the experience excellent. They gave recommendations to local attractions and transportation. They seemed genuine in their concern for the guests. Would definitely stay again.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Northwest John sadly sub par
Holiday Inn Express is one of our first choices while traveling but our stay at Shoreline was unfortunately sub par. Upon entering the non-smoking room the first thing we smelt was smoke. The smell did not dissipate after hours of AC and it did not smell like fresh smoke leading me to believe this used to be a smoking room that was recently and insufficiently turned into non-smoking. I admit we could have asked for a different room but we checked in late and were tired.
The complimentary wireless was almost unusable. Signal strength on our iPad kept going from low to high, on low regular websites would not even load, on high it was still not possible to stream video.
The breakfast buffet (while complimentary) was also sub par to other HIE we stayed at during our 9 day trip. Items such as margarine were missing (we have dairy allergies, can not eat butter) and the coffee was extremely thin.
We chose Shoreline for its close proximity to downtown Seattle without the downtown price.
