Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall experience. Upon arrival I was greeted for being a platinum member. My room was ready. I found the room clean and comfortable. Everytime I walked down the hallway the staff would say hello. Everytime I would leave the hotel the front staff would acknowledge with " have a nice day". Upon returning to the hotel, the staff would say "have a nice evening". The staff was very friendly. I will be staying at this hotel the next time I return to Seattle. December 14, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by debit card hold warning I think that the front desk staff should tell people who are checking in with a debit card that a $50 hold will be charged to their card and could result in a few day delay in getting it returned to the card. When someone is traveling and has a set amount of money to spend on the trip, and they don't know about that hold, it could cause some financial problems for that traveler. I wasn't even told of the hold... I found out when I called my bank to get an available balance and heard that there was a pending transaction for $50 to a motel. When I asked front desk, their response was that they would credit back in the morning, but it was really up to the bank when they decided to release the hold. Anyway, kinda frustrating and I'm sure there is some way to let people know about this ahead of time or at least have it mentioned during check in. Now I know for next time, but I'd hate to see someone else left in a financial bind when trying to enjoy a couple of days out in Seattle. I would have liked to have had that money for my sightseeing and the Marketplace, etc.!! December 5, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Loud and Bright. Good staff, though. If you are a light sleeper, this is not the place for you. The road noise was very noticeable and the dark curtains are made so that you cannot close them, leaving only the sheer curtains to block out light. Due to these factors, sleeping was difficult as it was loud and bright in the room. The staff were helpful and accommodating, as I made a mistake while reserving the room and needed another night. They were able to arrange it, even though they were quite busy. November 19, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Location with all the HI Exprss service & amenities We bought the King Tut package and stayed in 503 for 5 of us which comfortably accommodated us for 2 nights. 2 separate bathrooms was very useful. Great Breakfast room with good selection of changing main dish and appreciated Granola as another cereal choice. For dinner go next door to the Holiday Inn's Emerald Grill for value eats and local draft beers, if you don't feel like going out for a meal. Nice clean warm watered pool Next door to busy Aurora Avenue Hwy 99 so traffic noise unavoidable so just keep window closed at night with aircon, no problems November 19, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Would stay again. Took our family of 4 to see PSC, EMP and the Space Needle. All fees were reasonable and we had sunny weather (gasp!) We took the courtesy car once which cost us $15 while the cab back to the hotel cost $7 but worth not having to negotiate traffic ourselves. Wish there had been a vent in the bathroom but otherwise a good stay. November 14, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent staff with great service. Great location within walking distance to the Space Needle, Pikes Place, the waterfront and pretty much everything in Downtown Seattle. We were pleasantly surprised by the accommodations relative to the price. When we arrived we opened the curtains to a great view of the Space Needle.The breakfast was a little disappointing when compared to other hotels we have stayed but a much better selection than just a continental breakfast. We will definitely stay again next time we come to Seattle. November 9, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service I travel a great deal for business and I have always made an effort to stay in a Holiday Inn where ever I go. However, after my experience in this particular hotel, I will make every effort to stay elsewhere when I'm in Seattle. Upon arrival my coworkers and I discovered we had rooms without a fridge or microwave. Each day when we requested a change to a room with both, we got the run around. Staff would promise to "look into it" and call us back, then we would never hear from the person again. This happened on every day of our stay. Each time we would speak to the front desk, they would act as if we had never brought it up. Some staff at the front desk bordered on rude and clearly had no intention of making our stay comfortable. To add further insult, when we did leave some food in the fridge at the front desk (at the recommendation of one front desk staff), it dissappeared. The leftovers were to be used for a working lunch so we could shorten our workday and get on the road back to our families earlier. We never received an apology or any offer of compensation.. As a gold member with the priority club I always stay in a Holiday Inn but, when in downtown Seattle, I am willing to forgo any points I could earn just to avoid this hotel. November 3, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excelent guest service. We opted to stay in Seattle City Center to be close to the King Tut exhibit. However, at the price we paid for each night of stay at our Holiday Inn the company could have dismissed the $10 a night parking fee as such I rated them low on value. The rooms were nice and clean, not to mention enough space for two grandchildren to play in. The sofa & couch in our room were less then comfortable but the bed's were perfect. My continued participation in staying with Holiday Inn goes without saying: The have the best costumer service! October 26, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great getaway and within walking distance to many venues. We had been recommended to stay at Holiday Inn - Express by friends of ours. We were not disappointed and even pleasantly surprised as the retelling of any event can be discolored for a variety of reasons. We found the staff to be very helpful from inquiries at the front desk to additional requests of the cleaning staff. Thank you making our weekend even more pleasing. When we return we will certainly be staying with Holiday Inn - Express. The Wilson's. October 20, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay Somewhere else This is the worst Holiday Inn Express I have stayed in. The beds were not comfortable and the bathroom was like small closet. The street noise is very noticable and we were on the 5th floor. The greeting when checking in was slow and interruppted by a distracted worker, it was just an overall bad hotel experience. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Crummy Service Not only did I have to park in the overflow parking area (understandable in city center, I suppose), but the night clerk neglected to tell me he needed a space number on the form he gave me to put in my window along with a copy for him. I suppose I should have figured this out on my own, but it was late and I was tired. Then, during the night, some miscreant made off with our rental car's license plate which is not so good. And shouldn't Mr. Desk Dude greet me as a Priority Club member and treat me with special civility? October 14, 2012

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic welcome to Seattle and the USA When we arrived at the Holiday Inn Express, Seattle, we were immediately greeted with a warm natural smile, recognised as a Priority Club member and checked in efficiently. The freshly baked cookies were a delicious fresh treat after the 9 hour flight from London. We had chosen a suite to offer a bit more space for the holiday and weren't disappointed. It was a good size with 2 bathrooms and kitchenette. The air conditioning worked well, double glazing effective and the room came with a view of the Space Needle. The beds were comfortable and clean (as was the room and hotel in general). Breakfast was plentiful and well presented, although it's a shame that crockery and steel cutlery aren't used rather than the paper plates and plastic cutlery. Reception staff were very helpful and arranged a tour of the Boeing Factory for us. The tour guide collected us from the Holiday Inn Express and dropped off at the hotel afterwards. On our final day the staff also arranged for a taxi to take us to the Station for our early morning onward leg to Vancouver. I have already recommended this hotel to friends. October 5, 2012
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by I was not impressed! I am a Platinum Member of Holiday Inn Express. We picked this hotel because it was in downtown Seattle. Unfortunately they do not offer any free shuttle, rooms do not have a microwave or fridge, and I was not offered an upgrade -- probably the 1st time I have not been offered one. The reception area sold numerous items that could be used in the microwave, but we did not have one in our room. Rooms were nothing special and housekeeping was not great. We were there for a week, and seldom got refills of coffee and tea or cups in our room. This is not an inexpensive hotel, so I really expected more. Our room was right on the road -- very noisy at night. The traffic never stopped. Had to use earplugs to sleep. October 3, 2012
