I've stayed here a few dozen times. The night staff guy, ( I can't recall his name) but this guy makes the experience here better than anyplace I have ever stayed.
The rooms are clean the atmosphere is good, the local food is good. I won't stay anywhere else when I travel to Seattle

We enjoyed our stay in Seattle. Staff was quite pleasant and the shuttle service was efficient and knowledgeable. I will always choose Holiday Inn Express for my hotel needs.

My wife can walk very far and I requested a room near the elevator. When we arrived we asked the desk if our room was near the elevator and we were assured that it was. When we arrived at our assigned room, it was as far from the elevator as possible! This was the second time in Seattle that this happened.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by duskglow Good, but some of the little things were off.
Good: The room was clean and nice, the staff was friendly and courteous, there was a free hot breakfast. Walking distance from downtown and Seattle center. Bed was firm but comfortable.
Bad: The internet was mostly unusable, the power outlets were either unusable or unsafe, there is no onsite restaurant. Very difficult to find, and parking is atrocious. No refrigerator or microwave.
I don't really think it was worth the price, which was comparable to other hotels in the area, but for a little less it would have been a good value.

I was staying for the week for the company i work for. They always pay the bill, and the hotel's i stay in will ask me for my credit card for any incidentals As it turned out. After returning home. My company didn't reserve the reservation right. They only authorized payment on one night. So the hotel put the remaining 4 nights on my credit card, and never said anything, until i found the charge on my bill. I called the hotel, and they were very sorry, and got this mistake taken care of right away. I ended up staying a pleased Holiday Inn customer. Thank you for your pleasant fast acting response to this problem.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Air conditioner cuts on and off during night room became stuffy, like to have consistently cool room during night. No adjustment would help. Had two different rooms two nights , one week apart , same in both rooms. Stuffy. Customers across hall smoked, smell entered hallway and our room. Hotel should have non-smoking FLOORS, not rooms. Laundry very reasonably priced and convenient. Iron did not work well in 303.(heated but leaked a lot) Breakfast great, good assortment, good hours, nice staff, clean food area. Lobby dusty. Awnings inside (or curtains) very dusty, so are plants.
Plants need to be beautiful, clean and live. Lobby and hallways too warm.. Desk staff helpful, maid service good but slow. "Emerald" restaurant needs to improve on food and service. They are the only close restaurant , they really need to improve things a lot. Restaurants within walking distance not very impressive so "Emerald " needs to step it up for Seattle tourist.

The hotel is your typical hotel. My only disappointment was that while I was there the hotel was undergoing renovations. The hotel is in an awesome location as far proximity to the Space Needle and EMP. Also you're with in walking distance of most things in downtown. Definitely recommend this hotel if you plan on being out and about most of your trip.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great Service & Location
I have stayed in Holiday Inns and other hotels around the world. I frequently travel to Seattle on business and I always stay at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Seattle. The rooms are clean and very comfortable with a great view of the Space Needle. The hotel is quiet and it’s a comfortable place for business travelers. They always express and demonstrate their appreciation to me as a Priority Club Member.

My stay was great! The bed was big and comfortable. I tried sleeping in the entire thing but always managed to end up on side of it. the room was spacious and comfortable. The location of
Holiday Inn Express City-Center was convenient to Seattle attractions and surroundings and public transportation was more than adequate.Transportation to and from the airport was not including in the hotel ammenities, but that but that was acceptable.
The only issue I had was the ongoing maintenance work that took place during the week of my stay but that didn't keep me from enjoying it! I would stay at the City-Center location again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Paul2011USCG Convenient Location Great service
I thoroughly enjoyed the facility and the service. I had too short a stay because I was on business but I would request free parking to compensate my travel per diem. The breakfast was in a secured area for room key access which seemed to work great. The breakfast was far better than any McDonald's and much healthier!

This HI Property is conveniently located near "everything" for the visitor to Seattle. Easily accessible bus lines, taxi service, the monorail within walking distance and a variety of spots close by to visit.
What makes this property stand out however is the staff. Every so attentive to your needs, polite, professional, and knowledgeable about the area. The perfect concierge!
Well done HI, I look forward to many return visits when in Seattle.

Rooms were comfortable, would recommend putting Microwaves and Refrigerators in all rooms. Morning breakfast staff, "Mickey" was a joy to see and interact with every morning. Hotel staff checked in with us, wanting to know if we needed anything. Close to walking to all attractions.

I was especially happy that we were able to check in an hour early because I was soooo tired from our trek to Seattle. The room was clean and comfortable. I thought the breakfast was good and had enough variety. My fiance did not like it, but to each his own. Would have been happier if we didn't have to pay for parking. Parking lot is a little cramped.
Located near all the shops downtown, Space Needle (had a great view from our room) and not too far from Public Market.

Close to Seattle attractions but not for business travelers. Parking was difficult. Also, the beds have some kind of vinyl under cover that makes you sweat. The morning breakfast was a mob scene. I grabbed a coffee and left.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Missi OK for 1 night
Hotel is OK for a 1 night stay. Very difficult to get into from the street as lots of customers pulled in, left cars in entry, unattended. Waited in street more than 10 minutes. Beds were very uncomfortable, but temperature of room was easy to regulate. Breakfast was less than desirable. ALL carbs with the exception of eggs. No meat, yogurt or frest fruit except bananas. Everything else was carbs. Bread, bagels, muffins. A bit of a disappointment there. Although we stayed on the 3rd floor, must've been a lot of kids in the hotel the night we stayed as there were lots of kids running up and down the halls until well after 10:00 p.m. If I needed to stay for more than 1 night, I would opt for a different location, but for a quick night in a big city this is an OK location! Great view of the space needle as well!

Great service from reception to breakfast. We are vegetarians and the options were not as great but the friendly staff made us some extra omelets with cheese.
There was this strange sound in our room all night, but they were remodeling the hotel so I think it is because of that. It did not affect our sleep! Great beds!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Very nice hotel and great service but lousy sofa bed
I love staying at the Holiday Inn Express. Our visit to the downtown Seattle hotel was very nice. The room was clean and we had a postcard view of the Space Needle, which is just a short walk away. The complimentary breakfast was very good and standard to Holiday Inn Express hotels. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. Parking was $10 per day. (Is paying for parking the norm when staying in a big city?) On the downside, they really need to test the mattresses in their sleeper sofas and replace the bad ones. Ours was so bad it was like living in the Seinfeld episode when Elaine slept on Jerry's parent's sofa bed and woke up with a broken back because of "that bar!" You would be better off just sleeping on top of the sofa. The hotel still is not 100% non-smoking so the hallways smell like smoke. The non-smoking room was fine though - no smell and very clean with a fridge, microwave, dryer and coffee maker. If you need a place to stay that is affordable and downtown, this is a good choice.

My family and a family friend stayed here over St Patrick's Day weekend and found it to be within a short distance to everything we wanted to do in the area. The price was a little higher but for in a big city it was fairly reasonable. The staff was VERY knowledgable on the surrounding area and provided some insight on the places to see and areas to stay away from.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by CoCoa Overall a nice experience!
For a hotel in downtown Seattle it's pretty nice! We received an upgrade to a room with fridge/microwave "King Suite", spacious & had everything we needed. Our view was right at the Space Needle. The concrete barrier on Aurora Street causes you to back track a bit if you're headed to the Arena or Space Needle on a regular basis. Little disappointed in the timeliness of Housekeeping. If you're not out by 8:00 am or come back for the day before 2:00, your room probably won't get cleaned/restocked. Stayed three nights, our room was never cleaned so we had to go ask for supplies. However, the room was super clean when we first checked-in. Lots of restaurants, some shops and the waterfront are all within easy walking distance. Peaceful area. We enjoyed our stay, I'd be open to looking at some other locations but wouldn't hesitate to return here either.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Chris36 Don't book online without AAA card or Priority club card!
I would like everyone to know that I go out of my way to stay at Holiday Inn whenever I need to book a hotel. I know that the rooms will be clean and I am a priority club member. What I did not expect was on my last stay in Seattle. I booked a hotel online and I did not have my AAA card or my Priority card with me when I did this. When I checked in, I presented both cards. I was told that I could not get a AAA discount because I booked online. The guy next to me got a room upgrade. He said it was because he was a Priority club member. I asked the clerk about this too and was told I could not get an upgrade because I booked online and did not have my card info inputted at that time. I would have waited to book my room if I had know this.
