This really made our stay a pleasure. I've stayed at this hotel for many years and they have always shown the highest regard for their guests and concern for the quality of their stay. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Staff should ask parents to supervise their children. We checked in after an 8 hour Drive. Our family was looking forward to being able to swim and just relax. We got to our room and changed to go down stairs and enjoy the pool, however once we were in the pool we only stayed about 15 min due to unsupervised children that were rude, screaming, and yelling. One child kept asking my husband if he were his father and then would go over to the window where you see into the exercise room and yell at an elderly man through the window. He then proceeded to continually ask my 15yr old daughter if he could hug her because his friend dared him to. Not only were they unsupervised but they were running through out the lobby with out drying off so much so the staff had to put out the yellow caution signs and mop so that others would not slip and fall. There should be a policy in place that if a parent is not in the pool area to supervise the underage children they should not be allowed to stay in that area, and if their is a such policy the staff should feel comfortable enough to ask them to leave the pool or require the parents to supervise. After asking the staff if they could do anything about it I was told their parents were in the Lobby as If I need to speak to their parent's, at that time their parents got off of the elevator and proceeded into the pool area and the staff member came in and asked them to be more courteous for the other guest. By this point I was done and our family left and went to our room. Swimming was the one thing my husband looked forward to the most and the reason we picked this particular hotel. June 25, 2014

The evening social with 2 free drinks is a special plus for a HIE. Very few have this. it is a nice treat. Yes - I would stay here. Actually I got kicked out when I decided to extend my stay. Came back to hotel and went to Nashville Indiana. Used this hotel instead of checking in and out of other hotels. Visit was over Memorial day weekend. Advice, make advance reservations on holidays. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A bit disappointing I frequently stay at this Holiday Inn for business and typically am quite satisfied. To be clear, nothing about this particular trip changes that and I will likely stay again, but I was a bit disappointed in the service I experienced during my most recent stay. The fire alarms went off in the hotel, necessitating that the guests evacuate. This happened around 5:30 AM. Fire trucks came and we were cleared to go back in. Not long after, the alarm went off yet again! I know this isn't necessarily the hotel's fault, yet I found it a bit odd that not one person (not the staff working when the alarms went off, not the staff at the front desk when I checked out later that morning, no one!) even so much as acknowledged, let alone apologized for, this huge inconvenience. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Staff needs some work I called from the airport to let you folks know I would be a late arrival. Jody answered and asked if I would hold... And I said for just a minute...I'm at the airport ready to board. 5 minutes later I hung up and called back. Jody answer again this time ready to talk. No apology for being rude. No apology for the wait. This is how you treat Platinum members? Will go up or down the road to the HI north or south next time. Love the brand. Not sure Seymour. Will be my choice in the future. BTW. I booked two rooms for this stay...thankfully my colleague didn't have to deal with this. May 23, 2014

The beds were almost as good as home -very comfortable, clean, and newer style linens (no bedspread.) Food was yummy. Coffee was great. Would have liked more donuts. This place was so clean!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Our experience @ HIE, Seymour, IN Seymour Holiday Inn Express ( 3/27/2014) was our first stop on our way to Florida for our vacation. Upon checking in, we were greeted by a nice smile and a warm welcome, from Angie (sp?). Angie is very professional,courteous, and thorough, in her explanation of the hotels offerings. The room was very comfortable, and far enough away from the expressway, so that we didn't hear any road noise. The complimentary social time was very relaxing and enjoyed. Our return trip, (4/17/2014) was pretty much the same, however our room this time was as close to the expressway as possible, road noise was not to bad , but next time, we'll ask for a room at the other end of the hotel. The hotel is updated very nicely and teh room rate was great. Unfortunately the Lady serving drinks during the Hospitalty Social in teh Breakfast on Monday made feel very uncomfortable...like I forged the drink tricket ... so I left my drink and went up to my room and reflected in Trish's kindness instead which made it all better. Restaurant's very close to this facility. Lighting outside at night was very good for parking felt very safe. All of the hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and our room was not only super clean, but smelled clean and fresh, not "antiseptic clean" like at other hotels.
