The room was very clean and nice we were surprised to find this hotel in such a remote area and close to the interstate.
The shower was the best that we experienced during our trip. The room was clean and well arranged. The mattress was great and the linen fresh.
The restaurants are very limited. The breakfast is a lot of processed food and no real fruit.
The cost is high in consideration to other areas, but all in all we were satisfied.

We have stayed at several HIE and have been very happy at most all of them. This is the first one I have ever written a bad review about. The only things we wanted after a long day of travel was 1) a comfortable bed 2) a hot shower 3) internet acess 4) a good breakfast. Here is what we got 1) a very uncomfortable bed that needs replaced. It has 2 sunk in areas on each side and a big hump in the middle (not very comfortable), 2) a shower that the head would not stay on the pole so someone had to hold the shower head for the other person to take a shower (this is very unacceptable to me - btw, we have a video of this on our cell phone and showed it to the front desk) 3) VERY slow internet (it took a few hours to do what should have taken less than 30 minutes 4) The breakfast was fine. Here is my biggest problem with all of this. HIE statement says that if they cannot make you satisfied they will return that part of your stay. We used points which was a VERY excessive amount for this particular motel, (you can stay on the Riverwalk in San Antonio for the same amount). When I showed the front desk the video and told them of the other issues, they told me they would have April, the manager I assume, call me when she came in. I called back later when I still had not heard from her but was told she wasn't in yet and I was assured she would call me when she arrived. This has been 1 1/2 weeks ago and I still have not received a phone call. I am very disappointed and feel that I should be refunded at least half of the points we spent. I hope this reaches someone who can help me.

This is one of the cleanest rooms that I have stayed in for
several years. The beds were quite comfortable and the
bedding was very clean. In fact, the entire building was
well kept and the breakfast had many selections and was very good. I go to Shamrock fairly often and have stayed here once before. It will be my preference in the future.

The room was 20% higher than most other Holiday Inn Express' where we have stayed. The desk clerk was great but, while the room was clean (except the bathroom had a slight mildewy smell) and the bed comfortable, the walls were so thin we could actually hear the person next door snoring. We hardly got a wink of sleep and were very disappointed in this HIE.

Room was ALMOST clean, sheets were almost clean, bed was ALMOST comfortable - except for the giant lump in the middle that caused us to roll to the sides, bathroom was ALMOST clean and last but certainly not least...most of the breakfast was ALMOST edible but barely. The only not old and dried out was the prepackaged yogurt. This property is definitely not up to the standards that I've come to expect and I wouldn't stay there again when there are so many other choices in Shamrock. Holiday Inn should be ashamed of this place.

In all my hotel stays over the last 50 years this was the most cooperative hvac unit ever. The thermostat on the wall controlled the unit perfectly and so I didn't have to roast or freeze or listen to a fan blowing all night long.
