Basically, I like this hotel very much except some little minor issues, if can be improved, it will be an added "PLUS" to the grading.
During my 5 nights stay, each time a housekeeper who keep my room, each time have different style.
For example, sometime, they don't display a new toothbrush, or another they don't replace a sanity bag, etc...
If possible, they should have a standard display of the amenties, excluding those being used. So that in any event, we need to use a new one, it's easily available.
Secondly, the room air-cond is being preset to a certain temperature due to winter period. Although there are wind from the outlet, but to me who is from a tropical climate country, felt it's very stuffy, feel very uncomfortable staying in the room. The temperature outside the corridor is perfect when I open my door to have some fresh air in, but I cant leave it open through out, it'll be very funny.
I suggest it should be set to normal over the year, as each guest will set to their comfortable temperature in their own room, therefore, this service is cater for all guess all around the world, which should be the way and not base on some other reasons.
Lastly, the noise from the air-cond outlet in my room was very noisy #rattling and vibration sound# as it has disturb my sleep.
Above is just my feedback for improvement to make it better as a continuous improvement. And hope in my next visit, the above will be improved as overall it's still a nice hotel to stay in.

如果要去市中心活动，不推荐入住，太远了，不过离地铁站比较近. 服务还是不错，因为会员，没有担保也协助保留到23：00.前台check in /out也都很快！

This is my 2nd time in a year stayed in this hotel mainly because it's close to my parents' house. The metro line 13 just opened a station next to the hotel. My room 817 is face the two major streets' junction and was very noisy day and night even with all windows closed. The room was clean and comfort, yet the bathroom towels were dis-colored and some were worn-out. The breakfast was simple but good enough for me. I had an non-smoking room and still can smell the smoke due to the property has all the smoking rooms on the upper floors and shared the same vents.( As I told by the front desk staff members)
I encountered an unpleasant experience on the 2nd night.
Here is what happened: Upon check-in on the 1st night, I gave 800RMB as a deposit of total of 2278 RMB of 5 days' staying. I told the front desk staff that I would give the remaining in later days. On the 2nd night I came back to the room and found I had been locked out. I was very up-set of the situation and demanded to speak to the manager. Mr. Jia, the manager on-duty handled the situation in a very professional way. However, the incident make me wonder, what is the guide line in term of the cash deposit? Means portion payment or total payment up front at the time of check-in? I need someone to clear that for me to avoid any future confusion . And is this the right practice to lock your customer out of the room in both legal and moral standard in terms of " short of the deposit"? BTW, I used my visa credit card to book the room and it should be in your system.

It was a nice stay during my recent stay in this hotel.
Just a minor feedback to make it better.
On one of the day afternoon during my stay, while I was on my ways out, I saw two uniformed security guards busying at the computer counter located at the lobby. They seem to be busy browsing the internet instead of caring for the hotel security lookout. And I believe some staffs from the front desk should have notice it, but it seems normal to them as well.
I hope this area can be strengthened.

The room was OK, standard HI room, but the evening staff did speak almost no English. They couldn't advice us on some place to eat in the surroundings and when I went to ask for a glass of wine with my complimentary voucher I've been shown a refrigerator in the kitchen where i could choose between some soft drink and a local beer. There was an American common brand of beer too, but I could not choose it. The breakfast was Chinese style with no choice of western things like croissants or similar. If I choose a western brand I expect some westernization of the offer.

I found the hotel to be excellent value and the staff very friendly. The breakfast each morning was very convenient with a sufficient variety of Chinese and Western food to satisfy our requirements. We were greeted each morning at breakfast and assistance was provided to our two young children. The wireless internet worked well. The rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable and bottled water was provided each day. Hotel staff, including the security staff, were very accommodating during our three week stay and were happy to flag down a taxi for us in any weather conditions. The location was convenient for our activities. The staff made our stay an enjoyable experience.

Hotel is clean, comfortable and very good value. The front desk staff are very accommodating and the housekeeping staff did a great job every day. My only complaint is the same one I have had with all HI Express hotels in China and that is a lack of a better choice of Western food for breakfast. All chefs need to be taught how to cook scrambled eggs that are not watery and how to prepare eggs sunny side up or over easy. The hard boiled eggs almost every day are tiresome.

Above average "new" Holiday Inn Express in Shanghai. Since its in a redeveloping area, finding a taxi may be a challenge from time to time. Also, kitchen may not be able to cope with morning rush. But overall, very good experience at a convienent location.

1. No lady mirror in the bathing room, it is not convenient to make up.
2. No TV programme list
3. Shuttle bus no. to and from nearby station can be increased to 1/2 hour one bus rather than 1 hour 1 bus in the morning and in the evening.
The front desk service is very good.
The room and facility is clean
The room rate is very attractive for us to come again.
