The service is unbeliaveable poor...
Once I reach my floor and the lock was broken and the key do not work...then I accidently met a room service staff and ask for her help, but the reply is very rude that " back to the 1st floor and turn to front desk for help, it's none of my business." lol....
After I went into the room, the room quality is acceptable. But when I tried to use ipod dock, it totally doesn't work. Per inquiry with the front dest, the dock is only suitable to Iphone 3....
The overall expenses is not good, the attractive points is only the good location.

I have stayed at this hotel for 2 more months, but I was told my renew booking was rejected as the room was full (I used to book my room weekly) when I knew I have to renew my booking. I know I should renew my booking earlier, but I don't think you can release my room without contacting me. And I was forced to paied half day money and searched another hotel to stay. What a disappointed service.
I suggest you can respect your customer, try your best to contact you customer when you see the room it going to checkout on the date. Instead of forcing the customer to pay half day money or change hotel.

说是金卡会员每天能免费获取饮料， 但是如果不去索要，服务员基本不会给。 房间的空调完全没有反应，天气冷的时候完全感觉不到在起作用。 沙发看起来像很少清理的样子， 床上的扬尘类似物 也是个大问题， 总之就是地理位置稍好，其他则没有什么亮点。

I've stayed in Holiday Inn Express in Shanghai, Beijing, Bangkok. This hotel deserves the worst.
They didn't know my reservation.
The reception guys were play mobilephone games when I checked in.
Very poor room facility.
Is it managed by Holiday Inn?!

I have stayed in this hotel in the past 3 years for every time I visited Shanghai, the general experience is good. However, I realise the facility have the aging problems, for example, the carpet is getting old and dirty, shower heads and the lamp on the desk is half broken. These are all minor matters but I think it would be better if this equipment can be upgraded or replaced.
Generally speaking, this place is good for value and I recommend it for the others.

The hotel had probably pre-set its heating limit, so the room and the entire public area were very cold during my stay.
The location is good if you take a taxi everywhere you go.
There is a very big Wal-mart-like supermarket across the street. Restaurant choices are okay.
You can pass on the breakfast.

This location is not well maintained. The room smells humid and mildew. The carpet is somewhat sticky. The towels are worn out and shows loose threads. The breakfast has limited selections for people used to western food. The food is greasy and drips oil everywhere. Not a pleasant experience comparing to Holiday Inn Express in Beijing and Shenzhen. May not stay there again unless I know improvements are made.
