On the second night I could sleep at all, nor my wife. There was a pajamas party in the room beside us. I reported to the front desk but they did not do anything. It seems that this is a hotel appropriate to make noise and have a party, instead of being a place to rest. I am seriously thinking about hiring a IHG hotels next time.

The location is close to center of Shanghai, however, in/out by taxi is necessary since walking distance to Subway station is about 10 minutes.
The bed is comfortable and outside noise not so much. The breakfast choice is very limited and too crowded.
Many students and travelers because for the price, it is a great value.

Overall, this is a great hotel with comfortable beds & clean bathrooms. The location is great especially if your next transportation point is Shanghai Railway Station. We asked for a non smoking room but to our disappointment, the room was filled with cigarette smell. It is obvious that the earlier guests smoke in the room. The hotel should look into this have implement some strict control / penalty or fine for such errands act.

I think this is rather a good place to stay if you are looking for some hotels in Shanghai that is cozy and quiet during the night, the staff here generally helpful and smile to you whenever you require assistance. Special thanks to Mr. Niu here who has been facilitating during my stay.
Howsoever, to further improvise the guest experience, I think the hotel may consider to open up option for taxi commuters in the morning as the infrastructure does not really promise such travel so much.

The location is very good if you are travellling to or fro Shanghai Railway station. They will even let you keep luggage after check out which helps if train is in the evening.
Break fast is very poor. No fruits other than watermelon. They had mashed potatoes that was salty. Eggs were just boiled no omlete or half fry etc.
And Bathroom door is same as shower door so only one person can use it at a time.

这里是双层的隔音玻璃，完全听不到火车的声音。
不过所住房间中应急手电竟然是坏的。。。。。。

in-room wifi is hardly connectable. when I asked for a solution, the staff asked me to pay a guarantee for the router. this is quite unfair for a guest who choose a hotel with wifi service. after my insistence, they lent me one, but the overall staff hospitality is just so so.
breakfast is continuously bad. too crowded

Bed and network/wifi better than i expected.
Saff service OK!
Facilities problem:
1) The water tap may somthing wrong there is no enough water out of it.(room 619)
2)TV image mosaic?
3) Breakfast tasteless and also have to waitting in a long queue for feed a cup of coffee.,suggest add more coffee machine.

Room was very comfertable, Hotel was very near from the Metro station line 1, the best thing was i found few muslim restaurants near by and it solved my all problems regarding to the food,

This HIE is conveniently located near the Shanghai Railway and Long Distant bus station. It is clean and comfortable with large rooms. The free breakfast is satisfying and tasty. The staff are helpful and friendly. What more could one ask for? Great Value!

第一次在上海住智选，感觉性价比很高！原来出差住在公司旁边的三星酒店，感觉不如这里。
唯一不太满意的就是位置靠近火车站。不好打车！要坐地铁需要一刻钟。

The room was very warm, quiet and comfortable and staff were very polite and efficient. Some of the English channels such as CNN, HBO, and ESPN have no sound. This is unfortunate since many foreign guests stay at this hotel. Also, the breakfast cereal was very stale.

We stay here every time we come to Shanghai to go to the airport. Great hotel for a clean room and bed. Very good price and service. Breakfast is decent. It's a mix of Chinese and Western. Walking distance from North side of Train Station.

Conveniently located near Shanghai Station, which is the interchange station among three Subway lines and the Train. Shopping and entertainment attractions, however are not close, though. Unless you want to shop for a pair of spectacles, there is nothing to shop around. Good for the business traveller.

great experience at the Holiday Inn Zhabei. I stayed 1 night at a time- total 3 nights in 2 weeks- only later realised how conveniently located the hotel is. Great service, comfortable room- and a very friendly and helpful manager. Breakfast was identical each and every day- needs a bit of variety & imagination.

雖然有地鐵，但是總和我要去的地方感覺距離有點遠，不過對於動車抵達上海的朋友來說， 這裡真的非常方便。
另外就是酒店是託管給IHG集團的，房間是很大，我去的時候上海已經寒冷了，感覺房間裡面有點涼，而床稍微硬了些，不過服務人員很友好！
早餐我沒有享用，因為進去後感覺已經所剩無幾，而且選擇較少，還不如讓我去外面吃個面更讓我大快朵頤！

Very nice stay at the hotel. Upgrade to suite due to platinum status. Only drawback is the breakfast. There are no much choice.
