Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average hotel at a convenient location This is a rather average hotel with no particular pros to stress except for the location. I don't know about the normal situation, but at least the night I was checked in, the wireless internet, the TV and the old printer in the business center were all down. The hotel is next to the North Square of the main train station (not the modern fancy Hongqiao Station which hubs the express trains) and the main bus terminal. There are three metro lines and at least 20 bus lines that go to every corner of the city. In the mean while, it is certainly one of the messiest area in the city because of the huge traffic around the these transportation hubs. Good for travelers on budget who just want a place to lie down at, but if you want something more fancy, go deeper into the city. January 8, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by not Holiday Inn standard Parking is extremely limited and bad, almost impossible. It is hard to stand the sewer smell and after four room changes and an upgrade to a suite the hotel manager recommended leaving the windows open. Quite an unpleasant experience in December. Staff tried to be very helpful but it is impossible to solve this problem. Hotel should be downgraded to 3 stars and is currently below Motel6 standards. Of the four rooms two were not cleaned correctly and if you have short hair and you find long black hairs in the shower......??? If you are not totally on a budget you should look for a different place. The area is very limited on restaurants and is also not considered the safest place at night time. December 22, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 在寒冷的冬天里入住,热水不热!!!!!真是难忘的体验!!! 我C/I时要求高的楼层,前台员工很热心的告诉我,楼层高供热系统会有问题,我听了她的解释觉得虽然是洲际的最底层次的酒店,但服务理念一点都输于硬件设施。 我进房后没有即时使用热水系统,在看了会书后过了一小时,我进了浴室,发现热水的温度只有30度左右,温度一直停留在这个水平上,我用最快的速度洗了温水澡,钻进被窝。。。。。。。。。! 次日约8点左右,我再次打开温泉的龙头,水温丝毫没有改变。。。。! 我想提醒酒店管理方, 1,酒店的卖点其中之一就是酒店提供正常的淋浴系统可以让入住的客人洗个舒服的热水澡。。。。。。! 2,工程部或HSKP因该每天统计不可以提供正常热水供应的ROOM LIST.提醒FO 员工不可以卖给客人。 3,C/O时顺便可以询问入住的问题和有待改善的地方。 希望管理方和业主尽快解决以上问题。以便客人的入住更符合快捷所提倡的理念。 December 15, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 总体来说良好的酒店,细节方面做的还不够 总体来说酒店还是不错的。 房间大,床的舒适度也不错。 因为从事铁路工作的缘故,因此特别要了窗户朝向火车站的房间。同行的同伴说没有感觉到噪音的骚扰。 酒店的牙刷、漱口杯、迷你吧的马克杯都是不一样的,正好方便两人区分,很贴心的设计。 酒店的房门有点儿太陈旧了,而且只有请勿打扰牌,没有请打扫牌。 床头的苹果音箱,不能识别IPHONE4S,只能识别IPOD。 卫生间的门和浴室门是一个,用着很不方便。 卫生间没有提供普通的块型香皂。 提供的牙膏牙刷是杂牌货。 免费的早餐很不错。 酒店电梯识别房卡的时间较长。 December 8, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Phone Survey I received a phone call around 4pm on a weekday 4 days after my departure from the hotel. After I repeated told the survey agent girl that I am in the middle of a meeting and cannot take the survey, the girl ignored me and insisted that I take the few minutes phone survey. Of course I had to hang up in frustration. This is a poor sample of customer care, why the survey is more important than the customer who is in the middle of a business meeting? Overall the hotel was good, which I have recommended to several friends and colleagues already, but the survey is terrible and I am disappointed at holiday inn's operation team. November 10, 2012

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 性价比高的酒店 酒店就在长途汽车站旁边,位置很好。白金卡给升了套房。早餐也不错。最大的问题是电梯,因为需要刷房卡才能用电梯,但是卡槽老是接触不良,每天都得跟电梯搏斗很久,才能上楼。前台人员就两个,每次都很忙,没人过来帮我们。HIX这个档次的酒店,实在没必要搞刷卡电梯,就算搞了也要维护好啊。 October 26, 2012

Had a bit of trouble finding it initially (make sure you check out directions before you leave home), but once there, location is easily accessible to any places you want to go as it's near both railway and subway. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Shanghai Zhabei We stayed at the Shanghai Zhabei to break down the return flight from the UK to Australia and found the hotel generally very good. Our only bad experience was the breakfast buffet which had almost next to no choice of western foods and those that were, were poorly cooked. The location of the hotel is fabulous and within a very short walk to the railway station which also allows you access to the subway and mobility all over Shanghai. Location: It's diffcult for the visitors who visit there first time to find the hotel. It's better to get back to the hotel before 23:00. Otherwise, have to walk a long way around Shanghai Station. 2. Equipment: At beginning, the toilet lid is not strong enough. The changed lid is okay. 3. Breakfast: not enough choices; can't supply in time; milk tastes not good; small rooms; not enough seats sometime. 4. Other: no fruit as last time. In general, it's a pleasant visit. We were located on the 26th floor so we were able to view a big part of the city. For the food, we stayed in the hotel for 4 days but the breakfast we had was the same all through-out. No variation. I pity the chef of the hotel because he/she cannot make any variation of the food that he prepares. For example, there are many ways to cook the eggs but I saw only boiled egg from day 1 to day 4. From the very begining the staff was very helpfull especially the manager Klark. the next day we had to change one of the room , it was very easy & they gave us 2 new rooms close to each other .Every information we needed the reception staff was happy to help us. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It Pays To Be A Platinum Member! I booked the SHANGHAI ZHABEI Holiday Inn Express because of its location; and had stayed there two years prior. I booked a standared room, and when arrived at the hotel was greated warmly by the staff and welcomed as a Platinum Member. Given my key to a room on the 17th floor and when I arrived at the room and opened the door....what a suprise that the staff had upgraded me to a one bedroom king suite with living room and even a computer.
