Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice place to stay Overall, we had a nice visit. The property is very clean and the room was a good size (king suite) with a very comfortable bed. The price was competitive with others in the area. I've always enjoyed the breakfasts at Holiday Inn Express and this one was great, too. We did have an issue with our toilet; it kept running. After two requests to the front desk to get it fixed, it was still running upon our checkout. I'd still recommend staying there and we would again, but I'd definitely be more forceful about getting the toilet fixed. It was very loud. Other than that, a great stay and I recommend it highly. Not greeted as a Platinum Member. No amenity points or welcome bag was offered. Billing issues from check in to check out. Not a great experience as it had been at that same hotel in the past. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Comfortable BUT Not Serviced The room started clean and neat with a comfortable night rest. Unfortunately, the room was not serviced the next day - towels were provided when requested but still the room not serviced. When this lack of service was noted at checkout, the response was only "sorry" and the next guest was taken care of!! Very disappointed!! November 6, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable room I stayed with my 2 little boys, I had some business in Shawnee, and found the room to be very comfortable. The bed was comfy, and I liked the firm and soft pillows. I A/C was easy to use, and the mini fridge was handy for keeping snacks and juice boxes for my boys cold. My only problem was the curtains did not completely close, so the light from the parking lot shined directly into my room all night. As a result it was hard to fall asleep, but once I did, it was a comfortable nights rest. November 4, 2014
