Forgot to install the booked cot in our room, so when we arrived (late in the evening) we then had to wait 20 minutes before it turned up. It was filthy, and there was no sheet for it (fortunately I'd brought a big muslin with me so we used that).
The bathroom was a shower room- have you ever tried to wash a baby in a shower? Again, on booking I had asked for a bath- they seem to have lost all those details.
The room was a bit shabby- the curtain had come away from the rail at one end, and the desk looking like it hadn't been prefabbed properly- the right hand end was at a funny angle.
The free breakfast is dire- if you are going to offer a limited selection of items, they should be good quality at least. Croissants were greasy, sausages were burnt, orange juice was undrinkable (and a strange dark orange colour).
In short really disappointing- especially from a new hotel.

Typical HIX room and generally clean. The sofa was very badly stained along the front edge in numerous spots. Rather obvious what it was. Must have been in excess of ten separate marks. How the cleaners could ignore this is staggering. Called reception to report and someone was sent up with a sheet to cover the sofa.
Also, the ironing board cover was filthy and worn. Can it be so much for this hotel to have a look at the covers and either occasionally wash or replace.
Two of the most disgusting incidents ever in any hotel in any country. Open your eyes people!
