This is by far the cleanest and best maintained Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at!
The Manager goes out of his way to acomodate our fishing requests while his staff is just excellent!
We look forward to our next stay!
I highly recommend this hotel!

The property was one of the nicer Holiday Inn. The room was very spacious for the value paid. The breakfast was a typical, basically just okay. Get kind of tired of menu. Suggestion might be to mix up with different cultures types of breakfast. Example: breakfast tacos, Chinese egg rolls and rice with assorted fruits, Hawaiian flair papayas, mangos, etc.

We stayed here when we visited to tour Austin College. The hotel is very close to campus and restaurants. The room and lobby are updated and clean. We enjoyed it.

Our shower was broken in the room. I complained at the front desk and was told that the manager would call me on Monday to see how they could make it right. The manager however never did call.
I stay quite often in Holidsy Inn properties and was really surprised and disappointed at the lack of follow-up or consideration.

It was a very comfortable stay. The room was comfortable, right temperature and wonderful shower head. The television was just the right size - we were able to follow the US opens during downtime-it was great!

We drove up from Austin, TX on Labor Day to take our daughter stuff for college. On the way in 104 degree Texas heat we lost the AC in our truck and barely made it to the Holiday Inn because of bad bearing in the serpentine belt. We had little hope of finding a repair shop on Sunday during Labor Day Weekend to get the truck fixed. The front desk clerk (I think her name is Miska) not only found us a shade tree mechanic who was able to fix the problem with a hammer and screwdriver but the cost was very reasonable. She let us store our bags until the sun went down and we could drive home. That young woman is worth her weight in gold! She saved the day.

We always have great service when we arrive, which is usually VERY late (after midnight). The staff always have a smile on their faces and acknowledge my Platinum membership. We get a late checkout and they are very accomodating. Rooms are excellent, very clean and comfortable. Thank you for an awesome stay and relaxing time.

I had a problem when I attempted to stay here the first time and sent an email discussing the problem. The manager of this hotel contacted me and more than redeemed this hotel. The room was extremley clean and the decor was modern. The breakfast was great and the staff were very inviting and friendly. I will definatley stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!

Great breakfast which includes meat. Management worked out any issues we had to our satisfaction. Housekeeping forgot to do our room one night but management made up for it.

Friendly staff and the usual great accommodations. I always enjoy the breakfast as long as there is biscuits and gravy provided.
I checked in for a Rewards night was pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade.
The only improvement I would recommend is a sign on the feeder for the turn. I turned one drive to early and found "you can't get there from here". On my second try, I missed the drive (no sign that I could see). That meant another round on feeders. I was on my Harley returning to Houston from a week's worth of riding so I had to pull over and call the desk. So, being tired from my ride and a bit sunburned, I was a little grumpy when I checked in.
I stay almost exclusively at HI and HI Express. Sherman HIE did not disappoint me (once I got there LOL).

We were visiting the Sherman area on a "girls weekend" of 3 generations. We were pleased with suite ,thankful for the extra towels and shampoo. It was a great experience and very comfortable!

The value was good, the room was clean, the staff was fairly friendly but the pool was "closed for repairs". Judging by the lack of landscape maintenance around it - the repairs were not taking place. There was a defunct club-room that has music blaring at midnight with no available entrance.

The desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, except I did find a dirty tshirt that had fallen behind the headboard. For a hotel breakfast, it was especially tasty. We would stay here again.

We had 3 rooms for 2 nights and was very pleased with all aspects of our stay. Easy check in, clean rooms and bathrooms, excellent breakfast with wide variety of choices, and courteous and helpful desk clerks. Only problem was one of our party was awaked by noise in the adjoining room (luckily about time to get up).

On making the reservations several days in advance and in person'; was told by the "manager" that using the point system would only allow a "few" of the rooms and they, the rooms, may not be available for the nights I wanted. I told him "that's fine, I'll call the 800 number to make my reservations and report his demeanor". At that point ever room in the hotel was made available. I love the Holiday In Express and have used them exclusively, But I will not ever use this one again nor recommend it.

A little disappointed that check-in was not as quick as other Holiday Inn Express for Priority Club members. My last name is hyphenated & even with my Priority Club confirmation # as well as all names the reservation could be in, the desk clerk was unable to locate. Another desk clerk was able to find our reservation and later received a call from the GM of the hotel advising she was comping us one evening and adding additional points back to membership for the inconvvenience. The additional points were added, however, the one night was not comped. Left a few messages for the GM to call me back about this and have yet to receive a return call.
Also, as a Priority Club member, all the other Holiday Inn Express Hotels we have stayed with have given us a bottle of water at check in. This was not offered.

The staff was very nice and helpful, we didn't have reservations because we didn't know which direction we were going home after our trip. But we got tired and stopped in Sherman. The lady that helped us was very nice and got us a nice handicap room. Sunday morning the breakfast was great the man in charge had everything filled and kept it that way. Nice place to stay, great staff!!!

We stayed here while driving through, just for the night. 3 major problems got us ...
1.) It caught our eye for the indoor pool (for the kids) and the hot tub (for the adults). Well - the pool was green! So green that our 3yro was able to point it out as being "cool looking" ... and the hot tub was broken, not fun after a 10 hour drive that day.
2.) The microwaves kept over heating and shutting off. We tried 2 differnet microwaves thnking it may be just 1, nope. We switched and check all plugs in our room. It took an hour to warm up 3 tv dinners. :(
3.) The beds were wobbly. The kids crawled intheirs and it was almost a rocking bed. Hard to get cozy when the bed moves.
NOW - the staff was amazingly friendly. Very polite.
I have stayed at various HIE and always been happy, why we didn;t think twice about this stop. I will continue to stay at HIE, despite this. BUT those issues need to be addressed.

When I arrived obviously the room had not been cleaned properly because there was stuff (read between the lines) on the toilet. It took two days to get the room cleaned properly and then came the billing nightmare 8 charges on my credit card that took 3 weeks to partially correct, I'm still working on getting it corrected along with getting a receipt........not a good stay!

I have only 2 complaints about this brand new hotel.
1) The front desk staff needs to be replaced. The girl is never at the desk. She is always on the phone in the back talking to friends. When I went to check out, there were 2 people waiting. I asked them if they had been helped and they said no. I started yelling for someone to come and the girl poked her head around the corner with the phone to her ear. I told her there were customers waiting and I got the look of evil from her! Sorry for bothering you to do your job! I found this to be the same on 2 visits both during check in and check out. As a Platinum member, I wasnt even offered a bottle of water.
2) I have a strong distaste for powdered eggs. If you cant serve real eggs, dont bother.

I arrived after ten pm, so I just didn't feel like calling down to have these things taken care of. I stay at Holiday Inn Express because I rarely am disappointed in my stay. This time though, I was not pleased. The bathroom mirror light was out; very annoying. The sheets were rough. Don't know what the problem is there. I can't t.stand a blinking light on the ceiling. I guess it was a smoke detector, not sure. When I closed my eyes it did not bother me, but when I had to get up to go to the bathroom, the flashing was annoying, and when I got in bed, knowing that it was flashing was bothersome. Wish the hotels would check these things out.

We were put next to the ice machine and breakfast area; the noise outside the room was loud,from the ice machine to the room next door plunging the toilet. we arrived late into the night and wanted a quite room but we did not get that.Just remember if you want sleep not to be on the main floor by the ice machine!And the bed was very firm.

I am supposed to be getting a refund for my stay but instead they mess up and charge my account almost $550.00. and still no refund. Then want to tell me its up to our banks, they can't do anything else. Hotel manager either never there or " in a meeting".
The night of my stay.. paid for a suite...next door to a daycare center. SCREAMING BABIES and three other little kids running around. NOBODY is in control there. Did I mention the fridge in the suite didn't work?
