Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rough Sheets-Bathroom light out-blinking light on ceiling I arrived after ten pm, so I just didn't feel like calling down to have these things taken care of. I stay at Holiday Inn Express because I rarely am disappointed in my stay. This time though, I was not pleased. The bathroom mirror light was out; very annoying. The sheets were rough. Don't know what the problem is there. I can't t.stand a blinking light on the ceiling. I guess it was a smoke detector, not sure. When I closed my eyes it did not bother me, but when I had to get up to go to the bathroom, the flashing was annoying, and when I got in bed, knowing that it was flashing was bothersome. Wish the hotels would check these things out. February 21, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by noisy We were put next to the ice machine and breakfast area; the noise outside the room was loud,from the ice machine to the room next door plunging the toilet. we arrived late into the night and wanted a quite room but we did not get that.Just remember if you want sleep not to be on the main floor by the ice machine!And the bed was very firm. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Experience I am supposed to be getting a refund for my stay but instead they mess up and charge my account almost $550.00. and still no refund. Then want to tell me its up to our banks, they can't do anything else. Hotel manager either never there or " in a meeting". The night of my stay.. paid for a suite...next door to a daycare center. SCREAMING BABIES and three other little kids running around. NOBODY is in control there. Did I mention the fridge in the suite didn't work? February 5, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A Disaster of a Hotel One of the worst stays in recent memory. Elevator's broken, and we're on the 4th floor. No Internet, but no one seemed to be concerned about it. Tried to reach the manager to solve the problem, but it didn't get solved until 10:30, when I received a call that woke me up to tell me it was fixed. I never did get a breakfast any of the days i stayed there. The refrigerator broke and no one could manage to find an egg anywhere in town for the next 3 days once it was fixed. Staff who prepared the breakfast said there was nothing they could do. We walked to our car in the dark--because the parking lot lights didn't work. What was up with the electricity in this place? Maybe they're not paying the bills. That wouldn't have been so bad if we didn't have ice one morning and snow the next and no one bothered to clean the walk. Again, staff said there was nothing they could do. Next night, we got locked out and the assistant manager said they card reader never had worked. Again, nothing she could do about it. You can do something about it. Stay somewhere else. January 25, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Transfer of incoming calls to room My wife called me on the night I stayed in Sherman, Texas. the night operator answered the call and told my wife she was unable to transfer ot my room due to technical difficulties with the hotel phone system that could not be repaired until the morning. She expressed that this problem was one that had not been repaired previously but reported. The operator did call my room with the info for me to call my wife. This was disturbing to my wife and I as we were not used to being put into a position that lead to believe that i may have been screeningmy calls. with the newness of these Hotels I would expect that the phone systems would work properly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by overall great stay Only thing wrong was that the diverter valve on the tub spigot was stuck and unmoveable. Half the water came out the spiggot, half out the showerhead. I could not move it at all. the tub was also slow to drain. Also the room cards did not work on the outside entries. Otherwise great facility and great stay. December 14, 2012

The floor on which we stayed appeared to have been quite recently renovated, with everything looking shiny and new. Very enjoyable visit. November 23, 2012
