If I had an issue, the staff made sure it was taken care of without hesitation. If I return to Sherman again in 2015, I will make it a point to stay here again and recommend this location to others. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stormy was wonderful during the icy weather! My husband & I were one of many travelers stranded on I-75 No. during an ice storm in Dec. I called 6 hrs. earlier to book a room as I knew we were headed for worse conditions. Our plan was to drive as far as we could before it got worse. Before we knew it, we sat on the interstate for 5 hrs. - we had already reached the "worse conditions" as our mobile GPS had lost service a few miles prior. We managed to turn around and get to an access road. I called the hotel to see if they were still holding our room. Stormy said she still had our room, a king size, everything ready - all we had to do was sign in once we got there. I explained our dilemma, she calmly gave me directions how to get to the hotel. She greeted us at 4:30 am with a smile and told us she had coffee ready for us and that she'd have a hot breakfast ready for us in couple of hrs. That was so comforting! We had been distraught from driving on the road for 14 hrs., most of which was on ice. Stormy had been working 20 hrs. straight but she still had a smile on her face and was so nice to us and to the many other travelers that managed to get to the hotel off the icy interstate. The hotel was booked solid. A couple of motorists that were stranded for hours in the frigid temperatures were picked up by the police and dropped off at this hotel. There were no rooms available, but Stormy welcomed them to stay on the couch in the lobby and kept the coffee pot full. At 7am we were awoken to a screeching fire alarm! We ran to the hall - a hotel representative was already in the hallway who told us there was no fire, it was just a water pipe busted. The pipe was fixed within just a few minutes. They had fans going to dry the water on the floors from the busted water pipe. We're impressed at how smoothly the situation was handled. At 9:30 am we went downstairs for breakfast and Stormy was working quickly to replenish the hot food. We all got to eat a big hot breakfast before heading out on the icy roads to get home. We just can't thank Stormy enough for making us all feel safe and comfortable when we needed it the most. If we were ever in a desperate situation again, we'd want this Stormy on our side! The HI Express reservation center made an error with my reservation but Mika solved the problem and was very accommodating. The hotel is located in a very convenient location, all of the staff were friendly, and they offer breakfast which includes hot items and very good coffee. I would definitely stay here again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great surroundings and service everything from property to staff was fantastic- they took care of any questions etc and requests that we had immediately and always with a smile - from the front desk to housekeeping and food service personnel they were all top notch. our room requests were handled immediately as with an extended stay we appreciate the larger rooms Room 314 and 316 are always are our first choices for the 4 of us when we stay- and with children and grandchildren in Sherman we try to come several times throughout the year. we appreciate you and your team making our Christmas stay so great. This might have been a mechanical problem as the laundry area smelled terrible. We have stayed there before and conditions were excellent however this time was less than desirable. December 30, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Service beyond the call of duty I stayed here during the ice storm when so many of us were stranded. At check in I was treated with complete patience and all of my concerns were addressed. Many of the staff just stayed at the hotel and worked almost round the clock. Consequently the hotel ran smoothly due to their dedication. The manager even went out with a shovel to help those stranded in the parking lot. This is a very quiet and clean hotel. In spite of having a full house, the housekeeping staff were very friendly and smiled at me every day. I witnessed them cleaning a room and even the fridge was being wiped down, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and Holiday Inn Express!!!!! December 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 horrible weather We unfortunately had to visit Sherman TX during the horrible ice storm. We were thankful for a place to stay! The staff were slim due to the storm but we didn't have any problem with service. Given the weather, we had a good stay. The parking lot was very icy but maybe you didn't have sand or salt to put down. December 13, 2013

We came in early and unexpectedly during the latest ice storm and they not only accommodated us with a room, but got us in a few hours early. the housekeeping staff double timed it to get our room ready. They were very busy, but that certainly didn't stop them from being friendly and most helpful. Much thanks to the entire staff for going above and beyond to help us. December 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cozy Night Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express because we were down for Thanksgiving visit with my new in-laws.....my husband checked us in and we went to room and inspected areas.....hallways was very quiet and good night's rest.....breakfast the next day was awesome....enjoyed the variety of selection of tea....the only downside to our stay was that the front desk employee told my husband that we could get an extended checkout of 1pm but when my husband went to talk with the manager, he was told the latest we could checkout was at 12 noon. He was very personable and well informed about his job...He was very professional and provided us with answers to all our questions...The bed was soooo comfortable, fresh and clean....Our room was large and spotless...The bath was lovely with granite finishes.... A beautiful property and maintained to perfection...The breakfast was delicious and hot...A wonderful selection of food, fresh and hot...We loved our stay...The staff was exceptional, warm, and welcoming.....Would certainly stay here again... Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay We got to motel in time to watch the UT Longhorns & Texas Tech Red Raiders game on T'giving night, only to find out that the motel didn't get the channel. When we went down for b'fast the next morning, several items were low or gone. The "server" was at the front desk visiting with desk mgr., and was told that the coffee pot was low but he continued his visit. He finally came back and collected the empty food trays to the back room. The desk mgr. followed shortly afterwards and closed the door. The two were behind closed doors for about 10 min. In the meantime, there were very limited selections available for those continuing to come down for b'fast, and people at the front desk needing help. Don't know what went on behind "closed doors," but it was very unprofessional and my wife & I will not visit this location again. December 2, 2013

From the moment I checked in to the time I checked out I had no problems what so ever. My room was very clean and the room was even at a comfortable temp. The staff was awesome and even the Assistant General Manager helped me book my stay there and made everything effortless for me. All I had to do was show up. I will definitely be going back to stay there when I am in Sherman and recommend this hotel to those needing a place to stay while in Sherman. December 2, 2013

I have to say, I hold the Sherman Holiday Inn to the highest regards. I stayed for longer than a week and never once found a deficiency. The Manager ( Alma ) was very polite and professional. The breakfast was always good, and my room was cleaned to expectation daily. I would recommend anyone driving through Sherman, or staying to reserve a room there. You won't regret it. It was beautifully decorated,the beds were awesome and it was quiet and clean. My wants are clean,good beds and quiet at a reasonable price. This had it all.
