Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Shreveport West Good value for overnight compared to the Holiday Inn Express on the southeast side of town. It's about fifteen minutes drive time further from Youree Drive where most of the nicer shops are, but it was a very good night of peaceful sleep. April 8, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Unexpected Stay We really did not intend to be in Sheveport, LA on this trip, but it worked out that we were. We found this hotel on our GPS and being so tired we could hardly breathe, we went there. We were so glad. The front desk lady was so nice and helped us locate a good place to eat close to the hotel and then gave us the nicest room. Everything about the place was nice and clean and quiet. I would recommend it to anyone on a trip on I-20 coming into Louisiana. April 7, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs to improve and service quality A couple of observations about the room: (1) with the size of the room, could use at least one more wastebasket in the main room and (2) both the bathroom sink and the shower had very poor water flow. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by all was good The ionly issue I had was when I got up in the morning, my bill was not under my door like it is at all the other IHG hotels I stay at. When I went to the desk to ask for it, I was told that because I "pre-paid" my reservation, I would not get a receipt. I explained that I did not pre-pay, that I made my reservation on line on the Holiday Inn website like I always do, and I always get a receipt at check out. She refused, saying it was by orders of the manager that I would not get a receipt since I pre-paid. Not sure what happened, but I was not very happy with the outcome. March 25, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Less than average Stayed at this hotel several times, it is now showing wear and tear with no up keep, this include bed, bathroom and furniture. We are removing from our list of hotel options. The staff start knocking on room doors at 9:30am asking for check out status. The staff start removing breakfast 1/2 hour before was scheduled to be over and the breakfast area was not clean, trash cans running over and food on the floor where breakfast food was located, the staff walked over the food on the floor. Wasn't a pleasant stay. March 16, 2014

Carpet in my room was very stained but the room was clean. Beds were nice. No where close to eat, had to drive to another exit off the freeway. March 11, 2014

We were given a room across from the very busy Interstate 20, and the road noise, especially the many trucks, disturbed our sleep somewhat. If we had known, we would have requested a room on the opposite side of the hallway. Otherwise, this hotel is up there in our book with other Holiday Inn Expresses, i.e., good value, comfortable, clean, etc. February 27, 2014

We where on a no smoking floor but the smell of marijuana was in the hall so bad.I hate to not come back there but right now I paid money and could not sleep. February 26, 2014

No comparison, well worth the extra 20 for such a clean and comfortable room to stay. Off the main part but easy access to the interstate. I would stay again when I go to Shreveport. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good room, but leaky toilet My room at this Holiday Inn near the Shreveport Airport was OK but water was continually running inot the toilet tank which made it difficult to sleep. I eventually go up on shut the water valve to the toilet - a temporary fix, but it stopped hte noise. Also the bathroom lights are set up so that the light and the fan come on at the same time. The fan running continuously makes it difficult to hear the TV over the noise. A better system would be to have separate switches for the light and the fan. Thanks. January 27, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service in the Breakfast Area My stay at this particular property was to visit my ailing father at his local nursing care facility. Because of the late nights, I would sometimes sleep in. One night in particular, I slept longer than anticipated and thought that I missed the breakfast serving time. I proceeded to leave the hotel to buy breakfast at a nearby restaurant when the the breakfast server told me to sit and eat in the breakfast area. She was in the process of clearing the area, but offered to give me additional time to fix a plate. This act of kindness was greatly appreciated as I had to leave immediately afterwards to meet my father's cardiologist. Thank you again for the staff member that was willing to go above and beyond to accomodate a guest. January 20, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bad Experience At This Hotel Got up the first morning pulled shower curtain back somebody had stole the knob off the shower. If they room had been cleaned they would have seen that gone cause they couldn't have cleaned the tub without it. Went to wash my hair in the sink nothing but ice cold water. When checking out front desk staff ask how my stay was I explained it to them they acted like it was all my fault cause I didn't come down and go to a different room. As a past guest of this hotel I will no longer stay at this hotel or recommend this hotel to anyone. I was told the Manager would call me and I never received a call. Which just escalated the matter to being extremely bad. January 2, 2014

This is a great value right at the airport, with comfortable beds, a super clean room, friendly and courteous staff, offering a refreshing Happy Hour and a hearty breakfast! Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Too close to interstate The second time I stayed at this hotel in a month. Too much noise from the interstate! Also the internal parts of the HVAC unit were unbelievably dirty, so I did not use it. I am a Holiday Inn Platinum Elite member and have stayed at HI proprieties all over the world. The Holiday Inn Express brand needs to work on the daily cleaning along with maintenance and replaced of high use items like HVAC and pillows. When HI came out with the pillow firmness idea, I thought it was great. I think some properties along with this one are still using the original firm pillows becasue they are no longer firm.
