Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fine hotel but sketchy area The hotel is not in the best place but it is fine once inside. The internet was real slow and I had to use my cell phone hot spot instead. The fitness center has old equipment that wasn't the most stable. Might sound petty, but it is one of the few Holiday Inn Express where I consistently do not get welcomed as a Gold member or receive amenity bonus points. April 30, 2015

Very good breakfast, good selection, wait staff was slow on getting food out, got delayed about 15 minutes, otherwise very good. I would stay there again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Comfy Comfy I stayed in HI Ex on Interstate St. in Shreveport for business training. I was able to do everything quickly online that was needed and left me much time to relax and visit the city in the evenings. I found myself enamored with the staff, especially Mr. Johnson at the front desk for his top notch customer service. HI Express has served me well for both business and leisure travel. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel not so great loacation The hotel is all you would expect from a HI express. Great service, friendly staff, clean rooms. My only issue is that the neighborhood is not the greatest. It is very close to the airport and where I needed to be on this trip. I was warned by local residents not to fuel my vehicle just 1/4 mile east of the hotel too late at night due to robberies. That said, I felt safe at the hotel and did not seem to worry about my work truck in the parking lot due to good lighting and the hotel being out by itself. April 13, 2015

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Smoky room Upon arriving at the hotel, I was informed that the room I reserved was a smoking room. And that there were no more rooms available. I was also told that this is a common thing to happen when making reservations using the 1-800 number. Which to me is unacceptable. As soon as I opened the door, the smell of smoke over took me as if I had just put a pack of cigarettes under my nose. April 1, 2015
