Comfortable unpretentious and friendly service which is why we return and it is our first choice of hotel when we visit this area. Very relaxed atmosphere, despite being busy, especially at breakfast time. Haven't had the opportunity of eating in the evening as usually visiting relatives, however glad to have the opportunity there, should it be necessary. September 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Disablilities are catered for We had a room designed for the disabled, with a walk-in shower and grab rails, which was just what was needed. The bed was a good height which enabled easy access, and was very comfortable. There were designated parking spaces outside, and a lift. There was also an excellent disabled toilet on the ground floor. The bedroom itself was spacious, with television September 9, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by sleepless We booked two rooms on reward points, one was fine and we let my Mother sleep there as our room was a room for disabled folks and all night you can't turn off the green light over the door. Its a safety aspect for the handicapped, but other wise the room just can't get dark for a full sleep. We booked months ahead and as a platinum member too. I feel we were given the 'problem roo' as we were not actually paying. On plugging in the telephone to call my Mothers room, we then found the message,red, flashing light on the telephone would not turn off. Reception advised they didn't know what to do, we we unplugged the telephone. So as we found it unpluigged its an ngoing problem in the handicapped room - go figure !! Pity if reward nights are treated to the problem rooms.... September 6, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Staff make the Shrewsbury Holiday Inn Express a special place We didn't really mean to spend out tourist visit to Shrewsbury in a business park location, but in the end, we were so glad to have been at the Holliday Inn Express. The staff are extra helpful and pleasant, and the other people who use the hotel are so interesting. For example the hotel is a site for training seeing-eye dogs. During the week there is good bus service and Saturday we were able to catch a bus a block from the hotel to the Roman town of Wroxeter. Great stay. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Peace and Quiet with a Comfortable bed I stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Shrewsbury quite frequently. The staff there are very polite and try and ensure that I stay in a room that matches my preferences. I find the beds to be comfortable and the rooms have air con which worked well in the brief summer that we had. The bathroom has plenty of space and there is always hot water. Shrewsbury town is a short distance away by taxi where there is a massive choice of pubs and restaurants. August 31, 2014
