Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Anon A Mouse OK, but too much noise from the next room
The staff were courteous and friendly. The room was OK. The problems were that we could hear the people in the next room talking; there are not enough parking spaces, but as it was Saturday night, we managed to park on the street outside the hotel entrance, any other night the restrictions on the single yellow line don't allow this during the day and you have to use the pay and display parking at the rail station, next to the hotel; and the food was not so great.

When we arrived at the hotel, there was 2 group of coach tour customer arrived same time, it was very busy.
The lift was only working 1 lift, everybody have to wait to get the lift was 15 minute.
When I check in the hotel, a staff was talking to me when I was writing my detail, I thought she could wait until I finish the form and felt she was talking to her self.
But all other staffs are polite, helpful and friendly .

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Friboc Bueno pero con peros

Welcome & serving staff very good & polite,Manager even showed us another room because of the problems with ours, & parking was free. Quite good location for Windsor/Legoland. Very poor for the rest of the rating & wouldn't take my family again there to stay.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by devon lady A good location for exploring London and Windsor on a budget
A basic hotel with excellent cleanliness and service.
Made use of its proximity to Heathrow, Airport, London and Windsor and Eton. Very frequent and inexpensive transport links make these visits possible.
Quieter and much less expensive than a London hotel room, even when you take the transport costs into consideration. You even get a basic buffet breakfast included in with the accommodation price.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by MarkUK277777 Poor customer service
Hotel excellently situated by station , however let down by poor management. Booked a double room months in advance and got a twin room
When I complained the receptionist just smiled and said sorry. Outside bedroom an open packet of cereal had been dumped on the floor by another guest but hotel didn't clear it up. Also when checking out staff didn't ask if had car in car park so had to reserve up to get it - even though we had provided reg number on check in. The most disappointing is while we raised concerns duty manager Guiseppe was standing next to receptionist and didn't even speak to us when he heard our conversation
Hotel is fine , location is perfect for the station so would use again just the staff (reception) just don't care a less !!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BBA60 Location to the train couldn't be better.
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the train. We were travelling by train for this trip (BritRail) and knew we had to catch an early flight out so we knew that the closer to the train the better. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our room was ready early so we could put our bags up and head out to Windsor (just a quick train ride away). The train station and this property are right next to each other. There was a huge Tesco and other shopping nearby as well.
Yes, we could hear planes and trains at night. We chose a location near the train and airport on purpose. It didn't keep us awake, however. The room was simple and clean but had everything we needed. I would stay here again if the chance ever arose.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Icemanfx Needed upgrade
This hotel is located adjacent to Slough train station and 10 minutes walk to Tesco and shopping center.
Comparing with Premier Inn; Premier Inn is offering pocket spring mattress, bigger and thicker towels. Holiday Inn Express need to improve to stay in competition.
Sausages served at breakfast is of low quality, more filling than meat, taste like paper.
Shower soap "Lux" should be discontinued as it is poor in retaining skin moisture.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by WashingtonStateRetirees A little disappointing after American Holiday Inn Expresses
We were on a visit from the U.S. We usually choose the Holiday Inn, with Friend and Family rates it's really a good deal.
Room was really clean, and the bed comfortable. And the double glazing kept out the sounds of nearby trains and planes.
We stayed two nights and the breakfast menu, although enjoyable, was the same both days. No facility to make pancakes, and no cinnamon rolls as advertised.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Care bear Noisey overlooking train station.
Requested a double bed but got two singles instead. Room on second floor overlooked the station and I could hear the trains running through continually. I think the description said round the corner from the station, whereas actually it was down the road a little from the station.
Convenient location if you are a heavy sleeper, which I am not especially living in a quiet place.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Duke013 Great Hotel but...
Lovely attentive and helpful staff - but parking is appalling. We had to cut our tourism short just to guarantee a parking space - The hotel was full that night due to LEGOLAND visitors and a lot had to pay to park next door at the train station.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfectogirl Fantastic service and great food
We stayed for our trip to Legoland, it's only 5.5 miles away. For a budget stay I recommend it highly. Clean, well presented, the staff were very obliging, informative and lovely, especially with our three year old daughter. Room was comfortable and clean, brilliant to use as a base. Free parking was limited but we got a space and it is secure, we found the hotel easily as well. The food was great, we had the Legoland deal which was brilliant value, portions were more than generous and it was well presented and tasted great. The breakfast buffet was brilliant, lots of selection, maintained well by the staff and again tasted great. I have already recommended it to two of our friends with children for when they visit Legoland.
If you needed anything else there's a Tesco Extra close by. The train station is next door to the hotel but it wasn't intrusive.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by paul london great staff
This hotel is ideal for families visiting legoland windsor, about a 15 minute drive away depending upon traffic. Rooms at the back look onto railway lines which is either a plus or a minus depending upon the age of your children. The staff at check-in, check-out, in the bar and at breakfast have been terrific. This is the second year we have used this hotel for our annual visit to legoland with our grandsons.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by JennyTraveler Hotel rundown and No Functioning Air Conditioning in Room
I have stayed at this hotel many times due to it's convenient location adjacent to the Slough railway station.
However, I will think twice about staying at it again.
The air conditioner in my room didn't work and the room became very hot. Leaving the window open was not an option due to the proximity to the rail tracks. I reported the air conditioner after my first night of stay but it was no better on the second night.
The hotel is generally becoming quite run-down. The bathrooms are very good, but the carpet and bed treatments were stained and old.

Its excellent location, clean large rooms and good services (and not only) make the Holiday Inn Express an ideal place to enjoy and take advantage of either for business or pleasure (plus points: closeness to the railway and Windsor Palace).
Good value for your money, indeed!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jury57 Good value, uncomfortable bed, breakfast chaotic
This hotel is convenient for the station and for the general Slough area. We were going to a party 10 minutes away so it suited our needs. We requested rooms on the opposite side to the station as the rooms on the station side can be noisy. The main problem we found was that there was a long queue to get breakfast and we waited 40 minutes or more to get our food. Once we got our food, all the tables were taken and there was nowhere to sit and eat so we ended up sitting on chairs in the reception area and because it took so long to find somewhere to sit, our food was cold. The whole breakfast experience was chaotic to say the least with kids running around and people saving tables before they even had their food.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by almost platinum They will sell your room!
Sold my room despite advising them in person that I would arrive late. Don't think about eating the microwave meals either, they are awful. Breakfast is like a cattle market! Parking is a nightmare and the railway horns and trains will keep you awake well into the night! On top of that try and sleep well knowing you have paid well over the odds for a room at Holiday Inn Express. Do your home work!!! Check the guys that guarantee a good night's sleep 2 Mins up the road! Trust me....you won't regret it!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Traveller 45 Good overnight stay in clean friendly hotel
Stayed one night prior to flight from Heathrow.
Hotel is about 10 miles from airport, The A4 from Slough goes direct to Heathrow removing the need to use the busy/slow Motorway.
Check in was quick, easy and friendly. We had a room away from the railway and had a peaceful night. The room was very clean, (thank-you Dorota), Hotel has free WiFi which was a really good speed. Breakfast was the standard express offering. Despite being very busy the food counter was restocked quickly. The only negative thing about the hotel is the limited parking (which is free). The car park fills early. Additional parking is available in the adjacent train station car park, but I think you have to pay for this.

Super hotel with spacious rooms for families, only a short drive from LEGOLAND. Staff were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. free wifi was a bonus. Only drawback is the limited parking and having to pay extra costs to park at the rail station. (can be quite expensive if staying a few nights)

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by toulon we were grateful for having the same room as per last december
however, we found that the breakfast was of poor quality and at the sametime, for example, lack of sharp knives to cut your rotten oranges, etc.
we will be as old aged pensioners from France returning this December to Slough but we have decided to find a local hotel a lot less costly where there is a decent breakfast

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by gel12 shame about the noise
Good location for airport and tourist attractions, however the hotel is next to the station with one side of it overlooking the railway tracks. Trains run through the night therefore not good for a good night's sleep! Parking is also restricted in the hotel, if the car park is full you have to park in the station car park at £13 per night.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Minx Excellent Location for travel
First thoughts on arrival were - Not in the most picturesque of settimgs because of the built up area around it, a little cramped with small car park, but on checking in, discovered the train station was right next door which enabled us to travel without using the car. 6 mins into Windsor about £2.40 return and services running every few mins. This was great as there are plenty of places to see and eat in Windsor. The hotel itself is lovely and clean and the staff very helpful. Good base for Lego Land but if you are a couple without children try and avoid school and bank holidays as the queue for breakfast gets very busy. Overall, enjoyed our stay and would use again if in the area.
