We have only stayed in standard Holiday Inn hotels, but never an Express, so where unsure what to expect.
On arrival, we where unable to enter the entrance as buses where parked outside the main reception door, so you have to wait on the busy road.
Once inside, the hotel made up for it with friendly staff and quick check in. The rooms where modern and very clean and the bar area was very relaxing.
The morning breakfast included was of a high standard. We will definately be staying here again.
Excellent value for money

After stays at Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express in Portugal and Spain I did expect some extras for Priority Club Gold. I didn't receive even free Wi-Fi. Very poor check-in experience - receptionists were bored. Fortunately it was much better at check-out. Breakfest - very, very poor - no vegetables. No more.

Really nice room - accessible bathroom the best (and biggest) we've ever had! Ate in Italian restaurant - choice a bit limited, lacking in atomsphere and a little overpriced, but staff attentive. Room rate very reasonable and included breakfast. Very convenient for Terminal 5 (7 mins away). Overall a good experience and would stay again.

The HI-Express Terminal 5 was fine for a night. The room was clean, the bathroom was nice with a big shower and clean. The front office staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was reasonable good and hot, although limited in selection and the hotel was pretty close to the airport.
The negative in the room was the bed. The mattress was thin with very little support and during the night, my wife and I were often rolling into the middle.
Overall, the hotel was a good value and we would probably stay here again.

Our stay was the worse that we have experienced at any Holiday Inn.
The hotel room was very hot when we got there and after 2 hours, with the air conditioning set to full cool, the room had not cooled down even 1 degree.
The lady I spoke to on reception treated me as if I had not stayed at a Holiday Inn Express before and claimed that I had not set the controls properly. Eventually I got a manager up to the room and it transpired that they had turned the air conditioning off centrally as they claimed it was cold enough outside !! Don't they realised that the fridge, lights etc. can generate lots of heat even in an unoccupied room ?
I finally got them to turn on the air conditioning and to allocate us another room that wasn't as warm to start off with. However, the room warmed up again during the night as they had obviously turned the air conditioning off again.
Problems were also encountered with the shower where they had turned down the water pressure.
This hotel is NOT to be recommended until they change the management.

Perfectly placed for London or the Airport. Very good room for the price with more than adequate breakfast. Great value for money.
Good for families, business or just a long weekend - out ranks all others in its class.

The hotel was opened a year ago. The design is very modern, especially the bathroom which is extremely stylish and practical. The shower cubic is spacious with powerful shower head.
We had dinner at the hotel's Italian Restaurant. The price was reasonable and the service was excellent.
The only negative point : we found the mattress too soft.

The hotel is ideal for Heathrow or London.A very nice hotel inside with good breakfast.Bar prices a little high but the staff are very polite and willing to help.The Italian restaurant is ok but again prices are to much for what you get.

Stayed here for early morning flight from terminal 5. Very impressed overall would definitely use again. This was the only hotel which seemed to have a transfer that was early enough for our flight. We left before breakfast started so can't comment on that, however we have just stayed in the holiday inn express Luton airport booked with a parking package through a website which does airport parking deals and I have to say we were equally impressed and had time for breakfast which we enjoyed very much.

Very nice and clean hotel. Stayed there 3 times. Bed are very cosy and showers are nice and relaxing. Bit of a shame to have to pay for the Wifi, but if purchased in a bundle with other things it is well worth it. Brilliant bus service to airport also. Would defiantly stay there again before or after a flight.

Stayed with my misses and 2 kids very nice clean hotel, been to Heathrow airport during day time by using shuttle bus every half hour from hotel. Only thing i would say that there should be some more items in breakfast.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. I always find the service friendly & efficient. There is good parking & the price for this is fair & reasonable.
This hotel is always busy but checking in & out is generally quick & problem free.
I am a Priority Club member & due to reaching a particular level I get free wi-fi access which is very useful.
There was some aircraft noise this time as the planes were taking off more towards the east, but I generally don't hear them at all.
Here there is a choice of three complimentary newspapers instead of the usual one (Independent) which I hate, but hey, live & let live.

There are two aspects of this stay that are worthy of note.
Firstly, our experiences interacting with the staff were very mixed. For example, the folk serving in "Tratt's" were helpful, friendly and went out of their way to assist and make us feel welcome. However, the person we dealt with at Reception (checking in and out) was unfriendly and had very poor client-oriented skills. She had a pronounced Eastern European accent, spoke quickly, made phone calls and did other tasks while checking us in, did not face us while speaking and, as a result, was very hard to understand. She did not smile once in any interaction.
Secondly, I find it unconscionable that a hotel would have the gall to charge a person staying in the hotel for parking. I saw the listing for car parking when I checked in online but assumed this was for those leaving a car at the hotel while travelling elsewhere (since this was an airport hotel). I have never been charged at a Holiday Inn before for parking while staying - this is a devious and unacceptable charge. Had I realised that I would be charged for parking while staying at the hotel, I would not have selected this hotel as it would not have been the best value.

We found this to be a convenient place to stay for ease of access to and from Terminal 5.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the room very spacious.
Staff friendly and polite without exception.

When I arrived the room was very hot and stuffy. I was told the hotel system had been flipped to heat and there was nothing I could do. Shortly after, the manager on duty called to tell me that they switched it. My room became wonderfully cool within the hour. The room was beautiful, I loved the blue light! It was very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed being in this hotel and will definitely stay there next time I am in London!!

Could do with a bigger menu, but what there is on there is good value.

Generally the hotel is an ideal place to stay for travel too & from Heathrow airport. We found the staff very helpful & only to happy to meet our needs. Where the hotel let its self down was the noise levels along the corridors. We were returning from a long flight from the USA & checked into the room at approximately 13.30. Shortly after 14.00 we retired to bed, in need of sleep, but had to listen to the cleaning/maintenance staff, which made it difficault to sleep. At approximately 16.30 we herd a knock at our door & before we could answer a memeber of staff opened the door. My wife automatically shouted to the gentleman to leave immediately, which He did apologising profusely. Unfortunately neither my wife or I could sleep after this event, as we both were very apprehensive about the possability of the door being opened again. This was unfortunate as our stay was pretty good, but I cetainly did not have a good nights sleep & checked out the next day very tired.

I would recommend this hotel to anybody. We only stayed overnight but the experience was well worth the money. The staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean and tidy. The continental breakfast was varied and plenty of it. A most enjoyable experience all round.

I had, on a previous visit left my iPad in the room I checked out of and as I was at the airport and unable to return to the hotel to recover it, I called the front desk and they retrieved it. I returned 2 weeks later and my iPad was returned to me safe and sound.
Excellent service and many thanks for that. I should also state that my offer of a reward for it's safe recovery was turned down flat as they felt it was all part of their duties.

It is without any doubt that a hotel which appears at first to be courteous to customers needs...but which then insults it customers in front of other guests shouldn't receive any accolades regardless of the name or prestige...Having stayed at other competitor hotels and received one must say...Courteous and Excellent customer service...it is quite upsetting and shocking to leave this hotel with such a bad experience that deters my family and I from ever returning back to the brand in the future regardless of the location...

Room was comfortable and quiet.
TV did not work so nothing to help me relax and unwind from a long flight.
Ordered soup and dessert from Trats for room service. When it arrived half the contents had leaked from the plastic box containing the soup into the paper bag in which it was delivered.
Staff on Reception were friendly and helpful.
Suggest quality and content of room service could be improved and electrical appliances i.e.TV's should be checked before room is re-let.
Have stayed in Holiday Inns on previous occasions and been perfectly happy with everything. This one is not up to the usual standard.

Even though it's not right next to the airport., it's worth the trip. Hotel seems brand new, and has a nice bar at reception with reasonable prices to relax at night, and breakfast was great in the morning.
