Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by What a good idea! We used this hotel because they offer the facility to leave the car and have it delivered to meet us at Terminal 5 when we arrived home. what a good idea! Despite initial, nagging concerns about the scheme, it worked absolutely perfectly. We enjoyed a good dinner, a great night's sleep and an excellent breakfast then took the bus to the terminal with no problems at all. Best of all, it saved us having to leave home at 04.00 to drive to the airport and the total cost was LESS than paying for the car park! Highly recommended; we will do this again. January 19, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by One of he best HI Express The hotel is conveniently located off the M4 or you can get the bus from LHR. There is ample parking but it does cost £10 per night. The rooms are clean and tidy with a very modern feel, although I felt that that the bed was very springy on this occasion. Breakfast is the usual HI Express self service affair with the standard choices but there are staff constantly cleaning and removing crockery so it is kept clean. I normally eat in the Italian restaurant which is part of the hotel which is pretty good (although the service is a bit slow) but for some reason it was closed so I ate in the restaurant and the food was surprisingly good. Overall this is one of the best HI Express I stay in and generally offers excellent value for money January 18, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not a bad hotel --- but with a serious hiccup do to a staffmember Ordinarily, I would describe my stay at the Express as a good Hotwire bargain that gave me everything I'd want and nothing I didn't. It was, in this way, a solid, if unexceptional, visit, and for a good price. HOWEVER: I had a serious problem with a member of staff. The hotel apparently cooperates with a local bus service, the Hotel Hoppa, to get guests to and from the Heathrow terminals. When I went to inquire after the bus, the man then working at the front desk said he would sell me the ticket I needed. When I took the "ticket" to the bus driver, the driver, in horror and anger, pointed out that the ticket had been marked by a previous driver as already used. He then marched in and argued with the front desk to get me a real ticket. Had he not done this, I would have been stranded at the hotel, unable to get to my connection at Heathrow. Given this, I will be very careful before staying at any Heathrow hotel --- and certainly avoid staying at this one. January 15, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good Location But Poor Customer Service I stayed at this hotel on a layover to catch another flight. It is close to the airport with a shuttle. The hotel is clean and in good condition. However, the location is in a poor location is you would like to walk or grab something to eat. Also, the are not too friendly or helpful especially at the front desk and restaurant. They do the bare minimum and are not proactive about wanting you to have a nice stay. No customer service. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just for the night - 9am flight at Heathrow T5 Checkin was quick and painless. Upon entering the room thought the room was very nice and large. Settling in alittle bit i did notice there was some dust around on the headboard of the bed, desk area, etc. if i was staying longer would have been an issue but was only resting my head there for less than 24 hours so it was ok. wifi was nice, but it kicked me out in the morning and had to go and get another log in from the front desk. free breakfast was a plus. the only thing that was kind of annoying was that the front desk person was alittle misinformed about how long it would take to get to T-5 which lead to me being very stressed out about how many stops the bus was going to take and if i would make it to my flight in time. I would stay here again if i had another early morning flight. oh and food at the restaurant was quite alright. i had the burger and my boyfriend had the cajun chicken, we were both pleased. The rooom was of a high standard and what we had requested for a family of three. Breakfast was a easy, of good quality and plentiful. The only unexpected element was £10 for parking. Good choice if spending the night waiting for connection at the airport, not to go to the city, way too far and underground fare is kind of expensive. January 9, 2014

Althought he bed was a little uncomfortable (we kept rolling into the middle of the mattress so ended up sleeping on the edges!) the overall experience was good. A convenient hotel if you're stopping over night before a flight and need to park your car but don't expect to get a good night's sleep... The rooms are quiet enough but the mattresses are awful. Everything else; cleanliness, helpfulness of staff and breakfast are what you'd expect of a Holiday Inn Express. The cost of the bus transfer is very expensive although this is set by the provider rather than the hotel but I'd like to see this enrolled into the cost of the room instead. Despite my comment about the beds I'd still recommend property. Just check you're happy with the mattress before you settle down for the night! January 3, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good breakfast! We stayed here for one night with our two grandchildren. The room was really clean and the bed was comfortable. Slightly lacking in surface space for a family room, as there was only a tiny desk, no drawers and a few hangers on the open wardrobe. The heating controls were not working so we had a very warm night, which was slightly uncomfortable - and we could have done with a few extra pillows. Apart from that it was a nice hotel, easy to find with friendly staff and the breakfast was really good. Although a few trays would have been useful when your trying to sort out your own and two young children's breakfasts going backwards and forwards to the Buffett can start to get a bit tedious. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Uncomfortable beds and no Platinum acknowledgement Stayed here boxing day night. 2 rooms both had aweful beds. My son in the other room commented the bed sank deeply. Ours did too. Rooms 427 & 428. No platinum acknowledgement from staff when arrived. No water in room or even free drink offered. Yes it was a cheap room for an early getaway to Heathrow Airport but the overall experience wasn't good I'm afraid. Next time I'll stay a little further out of town. Myself being a Platinum member, I've stayed in a lot lot better Expresses. December 30, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for money - very comfortable room Check in was chaos - I was bumped twice by foreign guests who don't understand how queues work, but the receptionist was friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom was very clean and well equipped for this price range although the tv package is a nonsense and a rip-off - it made very little sense to me. My wife was very impressed with the very spacious and well eqipped bathroom. Towels were big and soft. I found the bed far too soft and small, but I'm over 6 ft and I prefer Premier Inn beds. The room was very quiet although what noise there was came from the corridor. My daughter also said that the free wi-fi was total rubbish - possibly overloaded? The free breakfast was rubbish too - real cafetaria food and not even worth the freebie. The parking was reasonable though at a tenner for 24 hours. I would stay here again. December 30, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor staff The last few times I have stayed at this hotel the staff have walked in my room in the morning while I was sleeping , it is unexceptable for this to happen. Unfortunately I will not be staying at this hotel again. When I paid for a late check out and out the do not disturb sign on my door handle I still get woken up by over keen staff wanting to clean the room. Wen I approached the desk about theses issues nothing was done or said . I reluctantly booked the room again over Christmas and the same incident happened again. This time I was walking to the shower in in my towel. And the staff proceeded to enter my room. December 30, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific Overnighter Booked this hotel as the name led me to think it may be in Terminal 5 and we were arriving into the terminal after 10.00 p.m and wanted something very close. Disappointed to find we had to take a cab to the hotel. That was the only down side. Everything else was terrific. The staff were very helpful. Check-in was a breeze. The room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom had a very good shower and nice toiletries. Considering this is an Express, the food selection was very good. December 28, 2013

Better environment than in main hall and a need for a printer in order to secure transient type documents such as boarding passes re air travel. Given proximity to Heathrow and traveling clientele it is important as in other Holiday Inn Express to provide airline schedules in effect at the time such as was our experience while staying in HIX in Boston USA.
