I think you have a excellent Hotel, You Manager was just excellent The only suggestion I have is you could use another chair in your room, There were no comfortable chairs to relax in.
My Husband says it was perfect. I think Joey was the managers name whom was so very helpful

Stayed there twice this year and pleased with both the comfort of the hotel and service. During our second stay however, the morning breakfast staff had to work very hard to keep the food items stocked against the hungry young men (sports team) with a large appetite to satisfy.

I love this Holicay Inn. BUT, I left my pillow behind. The receptionist found and returned it by Federal Express. $ 24.97 was charged to my Holiday Inn Priority Club Visa. First of all, ,the pillow didn't warrant the need to go by Federal Express and secondly, once before we left an item at another Holiday Inn and it was sent free of charge. I am disappointed by the decision! of your management.

Waited ten minutes to check in and were out of bottled water for Priority Club members at check-in. Walls in rooms are just slightly better than paper-thin...heard both next door room TV's until almost midnight. Out of my normal choices for breakfast at Holiday Inn Express ( I stay at 4 per month). No bill under my door - had to go to front desk and wait ten minutes. Staff mildly friendly. I have stayed at this particlular hotel three times and doubt I'll go back. There are other choices at this location.

While the room accommodations were nice and clean, the breakfast was poor! The bread was stale and the hot entrees were not hot. We stayed in a handicapped room which was extremely accessible, but the bathroom had no counter area to place one's toiletries.

The staff was very helpful in providing help with a choice of restaurants and the Express Breakfasts was the best of any of the Holiday Inn Express hotels I've stayed at.

The staff at this facility is very friendly and upbeat. Facility is very clean and comfortable. I love the option of soft or firm pillows.
Only issue; the walls are not insulated enough and the snoring from the adjacent room kept me up two nights in a row. I asked to be moved and was asked why, when I told the front desk girl she told me that they just checked out of the room.

Overall this was a very good stay. There were some very minor issues, TV channel line up did not match the card in the room and the reception was poor quality. They were made aware and promised corrections. I will stay there again.
The breakfast was well prepared and in a clean atmosphere. This location is very conducive to working in the eastern, Nc area.

We stayed here after reading that this particular location had a heated indoor swimming pool. Our kids really wanted to go swimming, so that was the main/only deciding factor when choosing this hotel. During check in, I verified they had a heated swimming pool, which they said they did. However, when it came time to go swimming, the pool was ice cold, not even luke warm. I went to the front desk and asked them if there was something that could be done to turn the heat on, but all they would say is that it should be heated. They seemed uninterested in finding out why the heat for the pool was not turned on. This really upset me, as this was the whole reason I was staying here. Another thing I didn't like was that the stairs, floor, and walls are all made of wood. I don't think they are made of concrete. When you walk on the floor, and in the stairwell you can hear the wood crackeling under your feet. Also, when you are in your room, the walls are so thin, you can hear the people next door talking. It definitely is not a quiet hotel in that regard.. When using the WIFI internet, it may not work. During the evening I think the internet was overloaded with too many people because it kept kicking you off. However, in the morning everything worked great. I think they need more bandwidth to handle their customers. With phones,ipads,ipods,computers, and other wireless devices nowadays, its very easy to overload. In the morning we experienced the fire alarms going off. Everyone in the hotel peaked their heads out the door to see what was going on. There's nothing worse than getting your heart racing with a fire alarm in the morning. Overall, I have to say it was a bad experience. A few good things the hotel has is the hot breakfast, the lobby & eating area is clean & nice. The exercise room is nice and up-to-date. The hotel appears very clean and new, LCD tvs good. The staff seems friendly, but doesn't seem to take the steps necessary to satisfy the customer. Based on this experience, I don't think I would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. I arrived at the hotel late and the front desk staff offered to help me with my luggage. When I checked in I was acknowledged as a Priority Club member, thanked for staying with the Holiday Inn brand AND given a bag of lite refreshments. AWESOME!!!!!!!

When I checked in I had to ask for a second key for my wife and around 10:30pm the people above opur room was jumping and making alot of noice. I spoke to the desk member and he said he would see what he could do and nothing got done the noice continued until midnight.
I was not happy with the service or treatment we received from the staff.

I-95 can be a little scary when looking for places to get off and spend the night. This hotel is awesome! My daughter is still talking about it. We had a super quick check in, hit the pizza button on the phone, ate pizza and then went swimming in the heated indoor, salt water, pool. After breakfast we checked out and went outlet shopping. My daughter said, "It doesn't get any better than this!" all during our stay. The location is awesome with lots of dinning and shopping along with easy access to highway. Staff is friendly and hotel is clean. You can't ask for anymore.

Joe the Manager is "FLAWLESS" responsive, courteous, epitome of professionalism & very genuine. The Front Desk staff ALWAYS greeted me, my guest, and my son with a sincere smile & "Hello". The rooms are immaculate and most of all the hotel is in walking distance of restaurants, movie theaters, and nail salons. I love visiting my Family since the Holiday Express has opened in Smithfield !!! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! . . . .oh did i tell you the breakfast is awesome (eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, cinnamon buns, real juice, real coffee & an amazing lobby)

We were right at the outlet mall to shop and enjoyed the fact that we did not have to drive for a good resturant ,sea food , steak house and also american home cooking in every price range.
The accommodations are excellent even to the soft fluffy towels for showers and baths, Holiday Inn is my favorite place tio stay

We would rate this hotel "Excellent".
The rooms were extremely clean, and very comfortable The staff were very accommodating. and breakfast was good and just enough to get you off and on your way.
This is certainly the best Holiday Inn Express we have stayed in and believe me, we have stayed in many as this chain "Holiday Inn Express" is the only chain we use when travelling as we are never disappointed.

Stayed here recently while traveling for business. Christine at the front desk was outstanding during the check-in process and so very helpful when I came back to inquire about places to eat in the area.
Room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. Lots of choices for breakfast and the dining area was clean and well-appointed also.
Though my stay was business-related; I've already made plans to come back for a girls shopping weekend and we will definitely be staying at this property because I had such a great experience during this stay.

I ebjoyed the stay and the staff only proplem i had was paid for room in cash at check it and credit card for second room my crdeit card was charged for both rooms had to wait 7 days to get credit back on card.. was on long road trio with son . so that was a minor problem would stay again

We travel quite a bit & usually by car. When travelling to & from Florida we use the discount coupons offered for 1 night hotel stays. We usually pick up these books at the rest areas.
On the 21st of October, 2012 we arrived at the HIE around 9PM with coupon in hand. We had stayed there on the way south to Florida. Our coupon was refused. We were told that the limit for coupons had been reached for that day. It was too late to go anywhere else so we stayed albeit reluctantly.
This is the first time that this has happened to us in all our years of travelling. We usually seek out the HIEs. We are also Priority Club members. I am very disappointed with this particular rule & the way it was played. We know what "based on availability" means. It is unfortunate that when this rule is applied, tired & older travellers have to pay the price in more ways than one. I took off only 1 star because the young man at the desk was truly sorry for the inconvenience.

The staff was friendly and our room was a good size with a comfotable bed. We only stayed one night but when we pass through the area again we will definitely stay at this Holiday Inn . p.s. Our room was very clean.

Its very difficult to decide what to do when booking on line because you just never know when you actually arrive. When my husband and I arrived to a "Excellent" welcome by Christine. She is a true asset to your company. Christine never once lost focus on how important we were, your guests. The stay was great with alot to do in the surrounding area which is always a plus. The Comfortable and Clean beds were also excellent. Christine promoted the hotel with the rewards program that we were not part of till now. The breakfast was very nice but alittle more variety after 3 day stay would of upscaled it a bit.
My husband got sick &"Joe L." the General Manager was another true asset to your hotel. He was very understanding and genuinely concerned and that is very hard to come by these days. Actually , everyone we came in contact with at the hotel was very friendly but these 2 staff members that we have mentioned went out and above for us. We will recommend to anyone traveling in this area to stay here. Kudo's to Christine & Joe L.

As a priority member I always find hte services and accomodations excellent. The breakfast is well stock however as I need a gluten free diet would like to see more a variety for special need eaters.

As soon as my husband and I entered the lobby, the front desk lady was amazing. She was so helpful and was going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. This is the kind of service all guest should experience when staying overnight at any hotel.

Reception (her name escapes me now) was very friendly upon arrival and very helpful with possible dining choices. I have stayed at this property before and always found it very comfortable. It is a little difficult to find when you get off I-95 but worth the effort--it is near the movie theatre.
