This is an old Motel with a Holiday Inn Express sign. The rooms are small and old. My bed was very worn out and the room was on the second floor at the end of the pool where every word from the people in the pool partying could be heard inside my closed door room. In the morning a man was sitting on his balcony smoking and coughing every 30 seconds which I could hear in my room as if he were in my room. At 5:30am I went down to the lobby to get coffee and the place was locked and no one around.
I had to walk thru the parking lot to my room because there was no way from the breakfast area to my room on the inside. I would not recommend this motel to anyone and I would have not stayed had my reservation been one that could have been cancelled. As it was I only stayed one of my intended 4 nights. I moved to another real hotel. Even thought she did not change my room number in the system, Taylor was very helpful when I checked. However, the woman in the morning was less than cordial.

If, when you check in and ask about a possible upgrade to exercise your priority club benefits and status, there is an immediate response of "No, sorry". When no attempt is made to even check. Yet, if I were to go online and pay for it, amazingly enough, the rooms are all available.
Seems consistent behavior with several locations, this being one of them. I really didn't even want to ask for my little snack and water afterwards either.....
Holiday Inn and IHG are changing and not always for the best based on the location. I would say drive another 10 minutes if you must stay at a Holiday Inn at a minimum.
Just some thoughts from a guy with nearly 300,000 points this year.

My loyalty card number was not noted on the reservation and had to be added later. The room was not serviced on the 12th. Soiled towels were removed, but beds not made, coffee tray not serviced and upon our return that evening I had to report to the front desk and take some fresh towels and water back to our room. Even the $10 rate adjustment for one of the two nights did not make up for the poor service.
The only thing positive I can report is that the beds were very comfortable.

I stayed on an overnight weekend and was locked out of my room 5 minutes prior to the check out time. When I went to the front desk to activate my card/check out, I was met with complete apathy. No apologies were offered, even after I had to return because the second key that was issued didn't work either. Housekeeping eventually let us in (my family was waiting in the hallway while I went back and forth to the front desk). We didn't plan to cut it so close to the check out time or we would have requested a late check out; but 11 o'clock isn't 10:55. The indifference at the front desk was unprofessional.

Our room was very clean and well maintained. I loved the kitchenette with the refrigerator and the microwave.
The bathroom was clean and neat! I liked having a bath tub that could also be used as a shower since my husband showers but I take baths!
I really loved being able to wash my clothes with the washer and dryer. I wish there had been at least two washers and drawers since one of the occupants left their clothes in the dryer for over an hour, so I had to wait to dry my clothes.
The breakfast was awesome! I loved the eggs and sausage. I loved having fresh fruit! Awesome!!!

I had a late flight into LAX and stopped here the first night on the way to San Diego. The property is very convenient to several restaurants and shopping options. All staff members were friendly. No problem with my room, but the hallways are showing some wear and tear. Parking is limited. Overall, this motel was a good value and satisfied my travel needs.

First time to California chose the rooms because I am a member. arrived in afternoon, and was greeted by the most wonderful desk person I have encountered in many years. Taylor, should be the poster girl for holiday inn hospitality. She went above and beyond with any request, and did so in the most cheerful way. every desk attendant should be taught her standards. The place was dated, but clean and reasonable for the location. The day staff at the desk was ok, but Taylor made our visit an exceptional experience.

Wont be staying there again.
Rooms were smelly and ventilation was poor.
Fittings and rooms are ancient.
No house keeping past 3pm. Was denied a Razor and shaving cream that we forgot.

Nice hotel, huge room. Great location, every need is close by (many places to eat, shop, bus stop in front of hotel). No homeless beggars in parking lot. I would stay there again.

For the money, we thought it would be a decent hotel while on business travel. Sad to say, both of the rooms (2 rooms) had several stains on the carpets and the beds were atrociously uncomfortable. The hotel wasn't up to the holiday inn standards we were used to. Everything seemed old, run down and not quite sanitary.

We paid over$340.00 for two nights and the room similed of cig smoke so bad we had to roll up a bath towel tight to door to keep out some of the smoke.The bed killed your back and the breakfast ran out before 9:30am and when ask if there were more, was told no!

The Service was good, the price was great, the room was clean, noticed the bathroom floor was heated, the location of the room not so great, first floor next to the stairs, lots of noise from people using the stairs. The only issued was the bed, not comfortable for me. Overall, ok for a one nite stay.

The room was very comfortable and service was great. The staff was most pleasant. Breakfast offerings were extensive and staff most attentive there.
Because of smokers around pool area, cigarette butts had accumulated. Need a place for smokers to discard cigarette butts as a courtesy to other hotel guests.

Value of the hotel was better than surrounding offerings, but is an older facility. Pool was okay and hot tub worked very well. Beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean. Parking was cramped and slots were very narrow. Glad we weren't driving a suburban. Very close to Legoland, and was chosen for that reason.

I frequently stay at Holiday Inn hotels, and this one was nothing compared to any other ones. This hotel puts the Holiday Inn/Holiday Inn Express brand name to shame. The hotel is very outdated. Our beds were comfortable but the room was bland. Our air conditioner didn't work and the room had a mouldy smell. We checked out as early as possible because we didn't feel comfortable or safe staying at this hotel. It was a disappointment staying here, and as a travel agent, I definitely wouldn't recommend any of my clients to stay here.

We have been using HIE hotels for a long time and we must say the Oceanside HIE is the lowest quality we have ever stayed in. It needs major renovations and you need to lower the price to reflect the quality. For example our Willows Ca and Portland Or experience was quite superior for less cost.

The staff was excellent , the room okay but with lots of noise from the roadway.It has a gap under the entry door to the out side. The mattress was really uncomfortable. Sore back in the AM. The rate was ok/good and I kept tell myself that I was not buying just spending a night,
It was most likley just the room we stayed in. I would check the room before accepting it...if we ever stayed there again.

I had mistakenly booked my accommodations for this hotel for the wrong night, and when I arrived there my reservation had come and gone already. The staff were excellent and corrected the situation without any problems. Great service !

You need to have the cable co. look at the timings in channel selecting.
Either by scrolling or entering channel Nos., there was a 8 sec. lapse in between channels.
Starting from Channel 02 to "30 something" literally took around 3 minutes !
Go up /down, there is blackness and the next channel appears later.
Other than that, another good Holiday Inn visit.

When I first arrived, I was recognized as Priority Club Member with an amenities gift, it made me feel very special. However, the room we were given was on the ground floor (I believe it was a handicap room), and the room smelled horribly of urine. I went to the front desk to explain the situation and the attendant put us in a new room on the second floor and the room was perfect. The front staff were wonderful, all shifts. Told us about the tourist locations for dining and gave us directions. We were there for 2 nights and I would return again for another stay.
